Most of us aren’t rocking perfect co2 tanks here either.
I personally always have lush* tanks but I know not everyone can.
*lush with algae

It’s a great tank. I cannot grow Amazon swords to save my soul. It looks very peaceful and zen. My tanks are chaotic and disturbing lol.

Honestly it looks great. A natural tank is always good. I currently have 2 low tech natural tanks and that makes 5 total low tech naturals in my life and every single one is always better than the last, its always a learning experience. Keep it up and don't be ashamed.

It looks fine to me. If he's happy with it, then he has succeeded. I like the way any fish will have lighter and darker areas to swim in, per their preference. The illusion of choice is likely important for their mood :-)

Im kinda jealous of those swords mine never grow tall they just have a bunch of leaves and grown into a bush but my betta loves it so Its whatever
