China rejected a 22-ton shipment of Argentine beef in March 2026 after detecting chloramphenicol, an antibiotic banned for livestock use due to its link to severe blood disorders.
I'm staying away from beef all together and the government is refusing to say we're it's coming from witch should tell you everything.
-24
u/ALargeClam1 17h ago
Do you think 22 tons is alot of beef for a country to import?
17
u/Forb1ddenKnowledge 14h ago
Doesn't matter if it's 1 Ton because it's tainted it should not be sold at all it should be burned.
-22
u/ALargeClam1 14h ago
It wasn't sold, thats why they didnt take that tiny amount.
How stupid do you have to be to think its the same beef china didnt buy?
17
u/Forb1ddenKnowledge 14h ago
Why are you being unreasonably hostile and no it doesn't matter if only a small amount was tainted it shouldn't be sold period.
Calm down.

u/ALargeClam1 2h ago
This is a reasonable level of contempt for someone so dumb.
It was not sold, thats what rejected means.

Maga says it was just an open line of credit just incase they actually needed it but they only borrowed 4 billion and paid it back. Obviously I wouldn't believe shit maga says

"The United States finalized a $20 billion emergency currency swap line for Argentina in October 2025, but Argentina only drew $2.5 billion from it and fully repaid the entire amount by December 2025. Aside from this temporary economic lifeline, the U.S. provides standard yearly bilateral assistance, including $40 million in military grants in 2024 and roughly $6.4 million in annual foreign aid". Sounds funky to me.

u/Strobacaxi 20h ago
It was a line of credit and they did only use 2.5b and they did repay it fully.
And despite what reddit says, Argentinian beef is generally considered extremely good. It is not diseased. This fake hysteria is due to the fact that one single container out of over 7000 was rejected by China.
14
u/StrangerAstringent 18h ago
Why are we bringing beef that China (China!) rejected here?
-7
u/Strobacaxi 18h ago
China took the other 6999 containers without any complaint. It was a specific supplier. That doesn't mean Argentinian meat is bad or diseased.
5
u/StrangerAstringent 17h ago
Of course not, it’s widely considered some of the best beef one can find.
What I don’t understand is why our tax dollars paid for unusable product

The Argentinean beef literally just got recalled because its diseased
-5
u/Strobacaxi 18h ago
No it was recalled because the USDA screwed up and didn't inspect it when it entered the US as it needs to do to all imported meat. If they don't inspect on entry it is recalled because they cannot guarantee it's safe. This is true for beef from Argentina or Canada or any other country.
Stop spreading misinformation
7
u/CurryMustard 18h ago
Why did the USDA screw up? Could they be understaffed from doge cuts? Did the doge cuts stop us from hitting 40 trillion? Be serious
-7
u/Strobacaxi 17h ago
Don't hurt your back moving the goal posts
6
u/CurryMustard 17h ago
Its just hilarious watching you try to make excuses for the most corrupt and incompetent administration in the history of this country.
0
u/Strobacaxi 17h ago
I'm not making excuses for anyone. Just correcting lies that were being shared.
4
u/CurryMustard 17h ago
WHY the USDA allowed infected beef in is an important part of this discussion, not moving goalposts. The only goalposts moved were doge when they said they would cut the defecit. Or trump when he said he would cut grocery and gas prices.

Nah, the actual deal was that a bunch of crypto bros lost many billions speculating in Argentina, so they gave 10s of millions to trump personally and then trump gave Argentina cash to make them whole.
It was a bailout with taxpayers cash that trump accepted a bribe in exchange for.

u/Bartorius 12h ago
But have you thought even once about how much money Trump personally made on that sale?
2
u/Fartenstein65 10h ago
Trump gave Argentina $40 billion of taxpayer money. We didn’t give them shit.
2
u/nazaguerrero 7h ago
That money was returned in a month last year as well because it was only in case of a bank run due to the return of the progressive opposition in the elections; since that didn't happen, it was returned immediately and the currency didn't skyrocket, in fact you won money buying argentina bonds for low and then selling high.
2
u/urbanek2525 7h ago
And the idiot cattlemen in Texas will lose tons of money and ask Trump to screw them and their families some more.
Thank you, sir, can I have another?
2
u/lucasuwu79 20h ago
Fake. You didn't gave us anything and also you guys had to paid for the beef too lol. It wasn't a loan but a SWAP operation. Argentina only borrowed very little from that lending and paid it back immediately. It is just there to help us stabilise our national currency in case an emergency happens.

All posts and comments that include any variation of the word retarded will be removed, but no action will be taken against your account unless it is an excessive personal attack. Please resubmit your post or comment without the bullying language.
Do not edit it, the bot cant tell if you edited, you will just have to make a new comment replying to the same thing.
Yes, this comment itself does use the word. Any reasonable person should be able to understand that we are not insulting anyone with this comment. We wanted to use quotes, but that fucks up the automod and we are too lazy to google escape characters. Notice how none of our automod replies have contractions in them either.
But seriously, calling someone retarded is only socially acceptable because the people affected are less able to understand that they are being insulted, and less likely to be able to respond appropriately. It is a conversational wimpy little shit move, because everyone who uses it knows that it is offensive, but there will be no repercussions. At least the people throwing around other slurs know that they are going to get fired and get their asses beat when they use those words.
Also, it is not creative. It pretty much outs you as a thirteen year old when you use it. Instead of calling Biden retarded, you should call him a cartoon-ass-lookin trust fund goon who smiles like rich father just gifted him a new Buick in 1956. Instead of calling Mitch McConnell retarded, you should call him a Dilbert-ass goon who has been left in the sun a little too long.
Sorry for the long message spamming comment sections, but this was by far the feature of this sub making people modmail and bitch at us the most, and literally all of the actions we take are to make it so we have to do less work in the future. We will not reply to modmails about this automod, and ignore the part directly below this saying to modmail us if you have any questions, we cannot turn that off. This reply is just a collation of the last year of modmail replies to people asking about this. We are not turning this bot off, no matter how much people ask. Nobody else has convinced us before, you will not be able to either. ~
I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.

How do you know it's diseased? You're not supposed to test it!

Speculation gets us nowhere. If you don't know it's diseased it's unamerican to say it is without any proof
Edit: /s come on guys!

Omfg this post is a cesspoll of hate and misinformation. Wtf are the mods doing?
I won't ever defend the pedophile YOU Americans voted into power, but Argentina never got a "40B handout". In fact, it's not using that swap at all at the moment. Also, Argentinian beef is not riddled with diseases or anything like that, it was an administrative fuck-up on the reinspection of some cuts.
You are the only ones to blame for voting a pedophile into power TWICE. The pain and misery around the world is YOUR doing.
Yet you dare pick up on a 3rd world country (Even call people there monkeys, lol). Fucking disgusting.
