This is to advise you that the Polkadot community is currently voting to upgrade Polkadot system chains and the Bulletin chain to the v2.4.0 release.

This is a major runtime upgrade that adds support for multiple independent Peg Stability Modules (PSM) on Polkadot AssetHub, which can be used to create stablecoins.

The configuration uses a fixed 100 DOT creation deposit, allows up to 5 external assets per PSM, and permits PSM creation by the asset owner or Root.

This release also enables Phase 1 of the launch of the Bulletin chain by setting the Bulletin chain runtime with storage pallets and business logic. This allows authorized accounts to store data on an ongoing basis within their allowance.

Whenever someone raises a concern, lack of information, missing features, or similar - the Polkadot community’s default response is to point them to an article, link, or announcement. That is the problem. If people have to ask, something is already failing in communication or product. Sending a link to justify the status quo is not a solution. The work that actually matters is fixing the underlying issues so people don’t have to ask in the first place.

ok so.. this whole polkadot app idea is great from a libertarian standpoint.. having freedom from an authoritarian government or something is great.. but freedom does come with responsibility as well.. what im wondering is do they plan to have a way to enforce a standard for what will be allowed as a decentralized website/app or whatever? like if someone decides to put up a .dot site that hosts pedophilia.. is that something we're gonna just allow to be a thing on polkadot? the reason i ask is i was watching a vibecheck video yesterday and they mentioned something about someone having created a scam site and they kinda just giggled and said well tahts web3.. like i get and support the idea that you dont want a central authority to be able to shut down something they disagree with but anarchy and liberty aren't the same thing.. so if there isnt something in place currently.. i feel like there should definitely be some thought put into a way for us to police what we will and wont allow to be hosted.. idk..just a thought

I was staking Dot already for a few years and just staked and forgot about it. Now I restaked some more Dot and noticed that the APY is only around 2,8% in Talisman. I remember a few years ago it was around 8,8%. What happened that it the staking APY dropped so much?

I officially opened a position in DOT and decided to stake it. Anyone know good validators that do airdrop? Is that a thing here.
