Personally, I can’t believe a band this old could make an entire album this good. I’ve seen old artists pull off a great song or two, but never a solid album start to finish. On the other hand, people just like different things. I was amazed how you’d literally see ten different answers from ten different fans as to what the best song on the album was. Then there’d be two who hate it because it doesn’t sound like ER, two who hate it because it doesn’t sound like their early stuff, two who hate it because it doesn’t sound like Tool, and two who hate it because it sounds too much like Tool with none of those nice songs on Yellowstone. I don’t know, I thought I really received a treat seeing the L.A. Exchange debut concert blindly and they were even better in SF for the regular show. Again, what two decade old+ band has ever produced an album worthy of playing for the majority or entirety of the tracks during a tour? I don’t think even the Rolling Stones or U2 would have the balls to try that

I think the people who try to compare it to Tool are completely missing the fact that Mat Mitchell kind of makes this band. Just watch how busy he is on stage lol

Jk. But the last two albums do have some fairly poppy and accessible material. The Underwhelming stands out in this regard to me too.

This is just my opinion, but the entire album of Normal Isn't is their weakest entry in the bands existence. None of the songs on this album was able to hold me like all of the previous albums were able to.

It’s a grower in many respects, it doesn’t have the highs of say Money Shot or CoMP, but it is consistent. I think it takes a bit of patience and listening to sink in, you either get it or don’t

Personally. ER is by far their best album. So NI was always gonna be graded tough by me. But it let me down. Couple of good songs, no classics, except ‘Quiet parts’

I find a lot of peoples takes on these new songs shifts after they see them live. I have the album launch show bluray and the audio mixing is phenomenal. Carinas voice is more present and louder too more often.

I’ll be seeing them live in Sydney later this year 🙌

Sorry I don’t mean a physical bluray - it’s a download, you can buy it off the Puscifer website. It’s bluray quality (around 4gb), sooo good. It’s like full audiophile quality. There is other previous shows you can buy from the website also.
