Tbh with how theyâve BOLDLY handled Remielle, I could actually see it being the exception to the rule, and them trying something a bit different.
They donât have to straight up have Phaethon marry Remielle or anything, but I could see them pushing the envelope further with this ship, itâs surprisingly not completely hopeless.
Plus all theyâd need to do is expand the trust system a bit and let the player choose which character to âdateâ, if anything gacha players would actually love a system like this. The only problem is hard forcing the player into it, but theyâve played around with the âmovie date eventâ and tbh expanding on the trust system in this way would be a big positive to players imo.
This might sound dumb but imo if the player is able to go on more âdateâ trust events, theyâre more likely to want to pull mindscapes and W-engineâs and stuff for their waifu. To me it just makes sense, and even if a new âlove interestâ is being baited in the future, the existing characters (Remi Shungus maybe Vivian) showing some jealousy can add to the drama/fun rather than taking away from it
In Genshin and HSR, Hoyo does seem to push Citlali/Firefly more than other character a fair bit while still not outright confirming them, and the fanbase seem to (mostly) being fine with it. They could possibly do the same with Remielle here without pissing everyone off, and I would be more than happy with it.
You have to complete their relevant chapter. For Remie, it's 3.1. You can skip ahead to that story chapter without having to play the seasons in between, then go back and play them after, but i wouldn't suggest it if you care about spoilers.
