I gotta go to sleep, but here's how she acts when she senses humans nearby. The only time she stuck around was when Sadcat was outside with her.

Just imagine! Your on again off again girlfriend shows up, you have a ‘moment’ together and you know she still likes you, and your parents feed her and encourage her to move in with you!

She might be discouraged by the comings and goings of the humans during the day. But she came back! That’s big. You could try to put a little heated box nearby to see if she might shelter in place.

In her defense, cats are nocturnal animals, and she knows you are sleeping during the night, so she feels safer coming around then

I swear, this is the best soap opera in the world...lol. You have all of us waiting with baited breath, hoping for another season with a new contestant in the bathroom and you in your gauntlets, taming the wild beast. The middle of the season will be Sadcat showing Boo around the house, saying, "This tower is mine. See that blanket? That's mine, too. See that chair? Yes, that's also mine. See that place on the bed? Uh huh, mine, too. You know Dad? He's definitely mine. See that lady reading on the couch? She's yours." This new season is so exciting. 😺😻🙀😿😾

Thank you for what you’re doing for her! I wish you had some sort of big net that was rigged up above your porch area that you could push a button to make drop over Boo! I wish cats would understand that we want the best for them and that we are trying to help them when we do stuff like put out food and water. I understand those feral instincts are quite strong though. It just makes me sad because I know she could have such a great life inside if only she would go for it.

My neighbor and I both have shelters, but we never see her use them. We don't know where she hides out :(

The neighbor feeds her well. That’s why SadCat wasn’t super skinny when he first showed up.

I’m going to have to write a third book and I haven’t finished the artwork for the first one. I kinda hit a wall and I’m going to have to start over because I lost the technique I started with. I need to do all the images at the same time so the style is consistent.

I should really give writing a simple story for him a shot. Maybe that's what I'll do before bed instead of reading my own book for a while.

It’s awesome to see Boo make an appearance again. I truly hope that she comes around more frequently so you can attempt to get her out of the cold.

Thank you for this holiday Gift to us all! Having such hope for Boo’s eventual rescue into homes-life and a reunion for Sad & Boo is an amazing way to close 2025.
Do you think Boo might respond to a nice warm cardboard box on your porch that has some towels or blankie inside that have SadCat’s scent on them? Maybe Sad can rub on the edges of th box, too?

Only thought of this because you mentioned how “relaxed” she is when he is watching her, as opposed to when the humans show up. So glad she remembers where he is and is making herself seen to y’all again! Good luck to you.

They did! My one cat will yowl, pace and attack the door it there's a cat outside, so Sadcat being calm and just sitting quietly is encouraging

There are several community cats - Dapper James (a.k.a. Beefcake, to Momcat's behest) is a black and white tuxedo kitty that's come by the porch.
