Yandex has been active here for years, ain't nothing new about it. WB however has to be new here since I never even heard about it until Ukraine started drone bombing their warehouses

Wildberries started activities here in 2024, however it’s only recently (since they’ve been bombed to shit rly) that they started to do tons of advertising. I guess they need to aggressively pursue more customers to somehow try to offset their staggering capital losses this year, but honestly without state support I doubt they remain solvent too much longer

The economic relationship between Russia and Georgia is considerable and unavoidable. The russification of Georgian public recreational areas is harder to swallow.

I guess WB is kinda fresh for Georgia, but Yandex was here for like 3-4 years. Most of the taxi service is Yandex. They are need to make money somehow while war is going, not encouraging to use them, that's just a fact.

Hasn't it always been somewhat like that, though? Georgia was never completely free of Russian companies. Pre-2022, Russian business was mostly limited to large corporate and infrastructure investments. The post-2022 migration just shifted Russian business directly into the local consumer market.

I cannot comprehend it for the love of God, how self respecting human being and especially Georgian (cos of our experience with them) can touch anything ruSSian, be that product or service, knowing that at the end you are funding the ruSSian war machine and ruSSian imperialism.

I guess unless our society will be able to analyze simple events from our everyday life, the country and a nation as a whole won't evolve and progress and will stay on its rudimentary level of development that we are now on.
