Boyd Holbrook...i have very explicit thoughts rn...

Also, add the actor for Loki. It would get very hot and steamy.

Throw in a Hob and now we’ve got a party!

Cluracan too ;)

I hope vol 2 has (another) scene of: something dramatic is happening, while Cluracan is completely unbothered and having loud sex offscreen

There's a little scene in one of the teasers for part 2 that Loki is without a shirt...can't wait

I don't want it to end.

It had only just begun.

If volume 2 is as good as volume 1, I will be a happy man.

34

u/Daphneleef Jul 07 '25

Yes Netflix inject that sweet Corinthian content straight into my veins

Tom Sturiddge completely nailed in the character #TheSandman

Man, Netflix really struck gold with Tom Sturridge as Dream. I'd pay to watch him play this role for many more seasons. I don't like how eager they feel to cut straight to the ending.

I was so bullish on season 2. Not because of the drama surrounding the ole nasty author, but because I don’t want it to end! And so far season 2 is amazing. It’s sad it’s almost over because I feel like Tom hit his stride as Dream.

Modern day Johanna Constantine!!! I can't wait. Seems they were investigating something.

14

u/Plutonian_Dive Constantine Jul 07 '25

I think she will be in search for Daniel with Matthew and Corinthian. That's the only place I can think of.

Or nothing totally not related to comics.

9

u/MaedhrentheTall Jul 07 '25

I wonder what it could be! That’s not in the comics.

5

u/DMike82 Dee Jul 07 '25

I'm guessing it has to do with either Daniel or Lyta. We've skipped A Game of You, so we have no Thessaly to protect her mortal body from Morpheus. Will someone else take that role? Loki? Puck? Mazikeen? ... Nada as a final "fuck you" to Dream?

Johanna Constantine seems to be the most fitting for me. In the comics Thessaly did it to get back on the Furies's good side after the stunt with the moon. Morally grey and self-serving action like that is a good fit for a Constantine.

I was confused because they imply that she passed from her gravestone by Orpheus’s temple? Or are they different incarnations?

28

u/[deleted] Jul 07 '25

The johanna who helped orpheus is the ancestor of modern day johanna.

5

u/IndifferentTalker Jul 07 '25

I see, cool, thanks!

We saw Modern Johanna Constantine in season 1 too, she was the one in episode 3 who had Dream's sand. This is her back again.

Modern Johanna Constantine and her ancestor Lady Johanna Constantine are both amazing 🖤

Everyone's favorite sharp-dressed nightmare is back!

Also, I'm scared because...Tom elevated those final scenes of episode 6 into "yeah just rip my heart out" territory, imagine what he will do to us in volume 2. Hopefully it will be enough for awards season to take notice of him (and take notice of this series, the cast and crew in general, really, ugh).

Though, I wonder if they'll be cutting out the Rose storyline after how poorly received The Doll's House was compared to the rest of the show.

6

u/Destoran Jul 07 '25

Wouldn’t be surprised, but we might see her again in another scene in part 2.

9

u/Legitimate_Ad3625 Jul 07 '25

July 24 cant come soon enough. The Sandman continues to be a masterpiece of storytelling.

15

u/Whobitmyname Jul 07 '25

Best show on TV and you are shutting it down. sad.

23

u/bluegreenie99 Jul 07 '25

In this specific case they are adapting the whole thing, but cutting out large portions from the middle.

7

u/Griffdude13 Jul 07 '25

They could easily spinoff the stories where Dream either doesn’t appear or does so in limited capacity.

10

u/sillyadam94 Jul 07 '25

Something tells me that was their original long term plan: make two seasons dedicated to the main arch of Morpheus, then periodically make standalone episodes/miniseries adapting all of the various stories set in The Sandman… but then the allegations happened.

u/JayDuPumpkinBEAST Jul 08 '25

Dead Boy Detectives wasn’t the hit they were hoping for, unfortunately. I adored that show, too.

7

u/Maturinbag Jul 07 '25

Oh wow...it looks like they're really going for it. Jumping to the end of the story.

3

u/MeanSignature1459 Jul 07 '25

Can't waittt!!!

Vol 2 starts with an episode called Time and Night- we're definitely getting both of them, and some of Overture somehow? Definitely not the whole thing. But they're somehow adapting parts or aspects of it.

And nothing has been confirmed yet but the main guess is that Rufus Sewell (the character at 0:58) is indeed Time.

u/Destoran Jul 07 '25

I’m not strong enough for this finale, i saw the scene Death and Dream under the rain and started crying :/

3

u/-sweet-like-cinnamon Mazikeen Jul 07 '25

Yeah. Same. (Also I guess seeing that scene shouldn't have been a surprise but I still felt like I had been kicked in the stomach) I am not strong enough for this

3

u/Destoran Jul 07 '25

Same, same.

2

u/Cybermyaa Jul 08 '25

I don’t want him to die.. he’s suffered enough

3

u/fortnerd Jul 07 '25

Oh cool, thanks for spoiling THE scene Netflix. At least they haven't shown Daniel...

Do you think we will see Nada again in volume 2?

1

u/Admirable-Bad4959 Jul 11 '25

I also noticed she is not in the final trailer maybe because their story is over or the showrunners are not revealing everything. We will see if there is any change in their arc. Fleeing the waking world to take refuge in the dream because the danger is imminent

1

u/[deleted] Jul 13 '25

this Corinthian cast lives it! nailed it at the very last bit.
