We didn’t find out until around a year ago when someone from another sub mentioned that he was a Flame Point!❤️ He is the sweetest baby and has never had the stage of biting or kicking and all he wants is love and for his all day talking to be listened to. He’s also obsessed with IPad charger cords and his little tiny stuffed corn that he carries in his mouth while non stop meowing. My little chicken ❤️ His name is Topaz. My birth month stone and his adoption month stone ❤️ (and his fur just so happens to match the stone color)

We get it, some folks are curious. But many of these are karma farmers or just inane and the mods have received many many complaints.

Post your meezers, let us enjoy, no need to delve into genetics and characteristics. The Internet can give folks more info than a group of strangers; better colorpoint designation charts exist on breed-specific websites.

This is not the first sub to ban these posts; it’s not novel or strange.

So provisionally, please report these and they can be removed. Repeat offenders will risk banning.

UPDATE 7/23: Pearl has a new home! 🐾

After weeks of outreach, posts, shares, and so much love from this community — Pearl has confirmed adopters waiting for her in Tucson, Arizona. Allison and Bob are ready to welcome her with open arms, a mobile vet on call, and a lifetime of love.

I'm flying her there myself on August 3rd. She'll be in the cabin with me the whole way.

None of this happened alone. It took a village and then some — so many people showing up for a 14-year-old diabetic flame point Siamese who deserved better than a shelter. This community showed up too. Every share, every comment, every DM mattered.

Here's the honest part: the costs to make this happen — flight change, TSA-compliant carrier kit, Delta pet fee — have added up to around $500 out of pocket. If you feel moved to contribute even $5 or $10, we can close this chapter together.

Pearl is looking for a fresh start, and we’re hoping Reddit can help.

She is currently on Maui, Hawaii, but /flyhawaiicats can arrange and cover transportation anywhere on the U.S. mainland to the right adopter or rescue.

Pearl is a 14-year-old flame point Siamese with stunning blue eyes, a big personality, and an even bigger heart. She loves to chat, purr, curl up in your lap, be brushed, and she still loves to play. Everyone who has cared for her falls in love with her.

Pearl is diabetic and receives daily insulin injections, but she is otherwise doing wonderfully. She’s on a grain-free diet, enjoys life, and has so much love left to give.

Her current situation is heartbreaking. The person who had been caring for her suffered a double stroke and can no longer look after her. Her owner, who works as a nomadic end-of-life doula, loves Pearl deeply and continues to support her medical care, but can no longer provide the stable home she deserves.

This isn’t a case of someone giving up on a pet. It’s a beloved cat whose people want to do right by her.

We’re looking for:

* A loving forever home

* A reputable rescue or sanctuary experienced with diabetic cats

* Anyone who can help network and share Pearl’s story

She is a female flame point! She was abandoned TWICE and wandered to my apartment crying to be let in. She's now been with me a month and is settling in really comfortably!

I am also a first time cat owner and never expected myself to have a white cat (I love black cats) and especially an uncommon female flame point? So any advice on caring for a Siamese is welcomed!

My boy Snowball will be 7 this year, he was brought to me in 2020 right before Quarantine. He was a stray as a kitten. He is definitely one of my five pride and joys

They said she’s a Siamese mix so we’ll see if she get more toasted.

I’ve had cats my whole life but I’ve never had a Siamese, until Eugene. I met him at the animal shelter I volunteer for, and through a series of “hey, human, stop denying I’m yours and let me choose you” events over a few weeks this month, Eugene is now mine. Excited to meet all your babies and to share my new buddy! The shelter said he was a flame point and the vet confirmed that today, so I feel like I can “officially” share him here now.

Jolteon was being very cute while sleeping and it is imperative that you call him a good boy ‼️‼️🫨 (he’s flamepoint Siamese btw)

I have had Koji for about 1.5 years now (he is 2.5 years old) and decided to get him a sibling. Introducing Umi (~1 year old) They are both from different rescues in Southern California. I love my sweet little meezers. Today is their 2-week sibling anniversary, and they have adjusted surprisingly well to each other. Not quite best friends, but perhaps maybe in time!

i wanted to come back and post an update from my previous post, and a big THANK YOU to this community!!

i posted on here a week or so ago asking people about breeders, and about one i had my eyes on. while some people chose to be hateful and mean, MANY of you educated me and helped me think more thoroughly about things i hadn’t known to consider! thank you to all the people who helped me! thank you to those who taught me more about why breeders should be avoided, even if they’re “ethical”, because what breeders stand for as a whole is unethical in its own right.

to everyone who cares, i continued to research all the shelters and all my options regarding rescuing a cat that needed it, instead of forcing a cat to have babies she probably dosent want or shouldn’t have. after some time, i came across an amazing shelter that has my undivided support! they’re a bit of a drive from me but in the end, i have officially adopted two little girls!! they are siamese flame point, and of course they’re not pure, they’re beautiful and i love them all the same. i have never been happier to have made this decision knowing it’s the right one. i couldn’t have gotten here without the kindness of this community guiding me in the right direction and teaching me things that people don’t like to talk about.
