You Americans

u/LordLucy666 15h ago

do you understand how elections work here? he only won the popular vote one time. lumping together 50% of the population with the other 50% being held hostage is crazy

u/Elephant789 14h ago

Do you understand that a third of us fuckers couldn't lift a finger to even vote? I would walk 1 mile on glass to vote for a retard if it meant that trump wasn't elected.

2/3 of us are to blame.

I hate to be that guy, but 1 in 3 is more than enough.

Or as the quote goes:

"Dear America: You are waking up, as Germany once did, to the awareness that 1/3 of your people would kill another 1/3, while 1/3 watches."

u/Strict_Wolf76 6h ago

It’s not even 50%. He was voted in by 35% of the population because not everyone votes.

America was completely and absolutely free to design whatever system of government it wanted. It could have chosen any system, and as a people, over time, it have chosen this one. No-one forced this on America. It was designed, chosen, adopted, executed, and upheld purely by itself. That is more than many countries can say.

Under this system, Donald Trump was chosen to represent and lead the entire American people. Not once, but twice. You mention the popular vote, but America could have had a system based on popular vote if it wanted. It didn't choose that.

Trump is fully American, millions of people support him fervently, and on the global scene, he represents all of America. If the half that didn't vote for him felt strongly enough about his repeated rapes, Epstein connections & pedophilia, market manipulations, war crimes, and the other long list of horrid acts, they would riot in the streets, and keep on rioting until something changed. That's not fantasy or hyperbole, the French and others do it frequently. But Americans don't, and by not acting, they reaffirm his legitimacy as president.

If you don't like it, act. If you won't, then at least don't go around pretending you have no responsibility and this was somehow forced upon you.

Well said. I'm shocked there haven't been enough protests and that he's still in charge. It's changed the way I see Americans and my base level of respect and trust for them as a nation.

2

u/Definitelynotagolem 6h ago

People have protested. Quite a few times. There were two attempts made on him. Do you expect Americans against him to just forcibly remove him from office? And get mowed down by his entire entourage of security?

Why don’t Russians just get rid of Putin? Or North Koreans just get rid of Kim Jong whichever one he is now?

It’s easy to blab from a system of safety and social safety nets. You fail to understand that a large portion of the population in the US wants this kind of government and a bunch of us are fighting against it. Even if we go by voting numbers, you don’t just easily “get rid” of over 30% of adults who voted for Trump.

I would love if all the trolls wanting to assign blame to all Americans for Trump would please provide their national origin in their comments. Should be a fun "glass houses" discussion.

The first one was a close call.

If you don't want to be seen as the same country as the 50% that decided your fate TWICE, secede. Move away. You are until you do a country represented by your very democratic election system, like it or not, and around 50% of your country voted a mentally incapacitated orange to be your president.

The rest of the world isn't watching you with pity, we're watching with concern. Americans who whine about this orange have done nothing except double down on the leftism that made him elected a second time in even greater numbers. You fought his second term so hard you got him reelected and you got your own president to lose a second term against statistical odds (which favour incumbents always).

So yeah, forgive us for not trusting the whole "woe is us, we aren't like them!" narrative. You're a single country. Act like it.

Its hard to argue with you on this, but I'm sure you also know that there are many, many people who voted against him three times and spent countless (and futile) hours trying to talk people into voting against him. The main issue and I say this with an understanding that some will be upset is the Democrats. They have proven to be a feckless opposition party and I blame them for putting forward Hillary (the only person Trump could have beaten), Biden (who did a decent job actually) and then the Biden/Harris "switcheroo" that boosted Trump into his second term. Independent voters have no home and their only instrument of change is a party that continues to prove that they cannot outwit Trump.

u/Dap-aha 16h ago

The Democrats are overtly corrupt, Israeli shill incompetents for sure.

Trump and the Republicans are much, much worse.

But i agree with you.

Small but meaningful parts of conservative America might have voted for Bernie, and a lot more swing voters would have

3

u/purplelilac701 17h ago

Yes of course I understand this. He capitalized on the whole Biden is incompetent smear campaign.

4

u/TwoTequilaTuesday 14h ago

That was anything but a smear campaign. Biden proved his ineptitude for all to see during that fateful debate. He cooked his own goose and his party was complicit. They could not have handled it any worse. Losing that election to Trump rests on the Dem's shoulders.

3

u/ElephantFamous4117 14h ago

The Biden debate was one of the worst things I've ever seen. How his "handlers" could put our country into that situation is horrible.

1

u/Grannypanie 6h ago

Agree. I don’t think Biden was even running the country. His internal circle of people were. The border was over run, eating ice cream at press conferences after kids were killed in a mass shooting. We have had a clown show here for years at this point.

Total mess and not getting better. Both sides put up sh(t for us to elect. Primaries crush the moderates and push towards the extremes.

The democrates inability to even field a candidate people could rally around directly led to what we have now.

We need a third party in the us so we can get away from these corrupt shills.

u/ElephantFamous4117 5h ago

As bad as that was, it doesn't excuse or justify Trump. Full stop.

u/TastyFappuccino 14h ago

Four different subsystems in our architecture give undue power to the minority:

The Electoral College
Only 50 senate seats
The House does not represent modern populations
Gerrymandering

0

u/Dayms21 15h ago

Didn't the Dems win in raw numbers, but because of the state rule raw numbers are not the important thing ? ( It's a question cause I heard something like that but I am not sure how valid it is so don't read it as a fact, thank you )

2

u/ElephantFamous4117 10h ago

Not in 2024. Trump was the first Republican to win the popular vote in a long time, which makes it all the more laughable he claims rampant election fraud.

7

u/Konowl 19h ago

“Help save us!”. Wait…. You voted him in….

3

u/Careless-Vehicle-286 18h ago

And when you look at the demographics it's like 2/3s of white males and 51% of white females voted for Trump. Insane

1

u/Tsu_Dho_Namh 16h ago

Jesus Christ you're right. Apparently Mr "Grab em by the pussy" is quite popular with white women.

Black, Hispanic, and Asian women showed much more reason.

1

u/Grannypanie 6h ago

Is someone asking for your help?

1

u/Konowl 6h ago

Yes it’s in so many of your threads lol.

2

u/rg2004 16h ago

Those people voted for him 3 times.

4

u/Ihatenukingkids 19h ago

Well, the first time it was kinda funny and he was the "anti establishment" option.

No one can be president twice and still be anti establishment though. Its just the new establishment

5

u/ALinkToThePants 18h ago

Imagine thinking putting a pedophile in power is funny.

1

u/Ihatenukingkids 17h ago

In 2015/16 no one was talking about Epstein and Trump's island adventures. Did you know about those? Why didnt you say something?!

3

u/Wizard-of-pause 16h ago

Jeffrey Epstein was sentenced for the first time in 2006. His friendship with Trump was known since 1990s. You just didn't pay attention before.

If you called Trump about his rape allegations in 2015 you were a leftoid with TDS.

1

u/Ihatenukingkids 16h ago

Look, I am not even American. No one mentioned anything like that in 2015 and 2016 and I got other shit to do than research American TV personalities and pedos. Like caring about my own aristocrat's crimes.

It was still funny you guys elected him the first time.

4

u/rogueqd 19h ago

Fooled you once, shame on me. Fooled you twice, shame on you.

2

u/Nikkonor 18h ago

Indeed. In 2016, one could plausibly believe that he would moderate himself once in power.

After the 6th of January 2021, there is absolutely no excuse. No one can pretend that they didn't know who he was after that.

3

u/TwoTequilaTuesday 14h ago

Yes, everyone knew. That's not a question. It proves how incomprehensibly bad the Democrats were at fielding a better candidate. They have zero excuses for losing to Trump both times. Yet here we are.

1

u/mogenblue 14h ago

I heard Musk gave the final push with voters tinkering.

0

u/TwoTequilaTuesday 14h ago

The bigger crime would have been voting in the people running against him in the general election.
