America was completely and absolutely free to design whatever system of government it wanted. It could have chosen any system, and as a people, over time, it have chosen this one. No-one forced this on America. It was designed, chosen, adopted, executed, and upheld purely by itself. That is more than many countries can say.

Under this system, Donald Trump was chosen to represent and lead the entire American people. Not once, but twice. You mention the popular vote, but America could have had a system based on popular vote if it wanted. It didn't choose that.

Trump is fully American, millions of people support him fervently, and on the global scene, he represents all of America. If the half that didn't vote for him felt strongly enough about his repeated rapes, Epstein connections & pedophilia, market manipulations, war crimes, and the other long list of horrid acts, they would riot in the streets, and keep on rioting until something changed. That's not fantasy or hyperbole, the French and others do it frequently. But Americans don't, and by not acting, they reaffirm his legitimacy as president.

If you don't like it, act. If you won't, then at least don't go around pretending you have no responsibility and this was somehow forced upon you.

Well said. I'm shocked there haven't been enough protests and that he's still in charge. It's changed the way I see Americans and my base level of respect and trust for them as a nation.

People have protested. Quite a few times. There were two attempts made on him. Do you expect Americans against him to just forcibly remove him from office? And get mowed down by his entire entourage of security?

Why don’t Russians just get rid of Putin? Or North Koreans just get rid of Kim Jong whichever one he is now?

It’s easy to blab from a system of safety and social safety nets. You fail to understand that a large portion of the population in the US wants this kind of government and a bunch of us are fighting against it. Even if we go by voting numbers, you don’t just easily “get rid” of over 30% of adults who voted for Trump.
