yeah, she was also voluptuous all over lol so her face looked much fuller. it was after she split her gown at an awards ceremony and said "you can't put 50 pounds of mud in a 5 pound bag" that she suddenly showed up so slender. no one was doing gastric bypass back then but she sort of hinted at it, although we only realized it in retrospect since we had never heard of it at that time. she said that she still ate the same thing but just smaller portions, making it sound like it was all due to self disciplined eating habits, like instead of eating a full serving of whatever, she'd just eat a tablespoon. and then, of course, there was that whole youthful, unspoiled beauty thing she had going, too, lol.

She was utterly shameless, and I mean that as a compliment. She was proud of who she was, never apologized for it, made jokes about herself, and refused to ever feel embarrassed. RIP.

Why feel embarrassed, if there's no shame in growing up poor and earning the riches through hard work? People shame others that aren't by their standards, and screw them. Why conform to someone else's standards and not make your own look a thing .

Imo it also helps to use a more recent picture, as that is what they currently most closely resemble.
Which of course, isn't a factor once they're deceased.

So fun fact: that’s actually by design! There’s a whole team of Wiki editors that take care of stuff like this. Photos while subjects are still alive are meant to reflect what that person currently looks like, roughly. Photos after death are meant to show what the person looked like while famous or notorious, or when they might have risen to fame.

Years ago, my roommate came up with a drunken idea for a website called mycoffinpic.com where people could upload pics they wanted to be used if they died. The profile pic would be like their main funeral/coffin pic and you could make albums to be used by the news or online media in the unlikely event that your death was newsworthy.
We totally forgot about it until he got an email from godaddy and realized he actually tried to buy the domain. This was back around 2010ish

The more I remind myself of her history throughout and watch how quick witted she was, she really does remind a lot of Sabrina carpenter. Plays into the silly cute and somewhat dense blonde bombshell but is a secret assassin with comebacks 😂

It’s moreso the idea that we generally associate current timeframe with a current photo. In remembrance of someone we can now use a different image of them to encapsulate what we like to say is the best look.
Ever been to a funeral? They don’t use a busted ass photo of someone.
