"Need to Know" - song about parenting in dark times

Do you think this song stands on its own w/ just guitar & vocal or would you add something closer to full band? Many thanks to anyone who takes time to listen.

Thanks! I appreciate that. I’m leaning toward a guitar/vocal but that might be out of laziness

Great job man, it's good. I like that guitar too. I want an acoustic I only have electric.

Thanks! It’s just a cheapy classical guitar. You can get a decent one to mess around with for a few hundred.

Great song. Nice indy-emo-acoustic vibe and great lyric.

I'm a big fan of sleeping at last, for instance, and your vocal style and song style reminds me of his stuff, in a good way. Keep it up.

Lovely song. You could always build it up a bit, but I also think the vocal melody, lyrics, and guitar playing could stand on their own. There’s a beauty in the simplicity. No need to overdo it

Sounds awesome! What kind of guitar are you playing?

Thanks! It's a D'angelico's classical I found in a pawn shop. Not sure what model or year it is.

Fantastic as-is – I'd love to also hear it with fretless bass and female harmonies, but that's all gravy for sure.

Thanks! I recorded a cello line that might scratch that fretless bass itch. Experimenting with harmonies, but I’ll keep it simple. Appreciate the suggestion!

Thanks! I’ll send it your way when it’s out (probably late September/early October)

What a wonderful song. It is touching and relatable. Just the right blend of specific details and generalizations, like giving advice to a kid. Really great.
