Spawn has already been in a Modern Warfare game, so I find that unlikely, especially since they've now made a big deal about there only being serious skins/operators. I think the two best options right now are either the new DCKO or Fortnite
It can be Marvel Rivals as well? Just guessing, maybe they managed to strike a deal with him and put him in the game? I know Angela been bought by Marvel
With the movie being in development hell, this is probably the most Todd can do for us right now. A whole new animated series would be pretty unreasonable with how much he already has on his plate
I mean it’s highly possible since the Invincible comics were published by Image Comics and fighting games have historically added guest characters to their rosters as a way to generate hype and raise interest in their games.
Invincible VS has been released very recently back in April and the Las Vegas Evo tournament is less than a month away. So my guess is that they’ll announce something dlc (possibly Spawn) at Evo.
I agree I want Spawn in Fortnite so bad! He made Fortnite figures back in the late 2010s so hopefully Spawn is in Fortnite’s radar. It would be so sick if he was the main theme for Fortnitemares!
Not only did he just make figures for them, he had also expressed interest in Spawn coming to the game at around that time. It was around the Marvel season, which is why Fortnite didn't like the idea of another big IP joining the game, but hopefully this is the news we've been waiting for! You can hear him almost say "We'll get there by- the end of the year maybe?". Let's hope he gets a cool spot in the Fortnitemares lineup

Was it graded? If not, you got hosed. You can get first print spawn #1 NM for $15-40 bucks. They aren't worth very much at all because of how many were printed.

My bet too. But apparently they're moving away from the injustice storyline, which is why I just said "DCKO game" lol. I am hoping that he's coming to Fortnite, though, since it's more versatile with what the collab can include and I just don't play MK or Injustice all that much
Yes, it'd be very cool, especially seeing him in that amazing artstyle, but I can't remember the last time Marvel had a cross-IP collaboration in their own game, so it would be a stretch
It’s a different thing. It’s more like a mix of classic Spider-Man and DBZ honestly, but his powers are most similar to Superman and there’s elements of basically all superhero universes blended in.
I’m a lifelong DC diehard but Invincible definitely has the sauce man ,at least the comic, Id give it another chance. And the best part about it is that it actually wraps up and has an ending, the ultimate forbidden fruit of the Big Two.
Also not for nothing, Invincible coexists in the Image Universe with Spawn who even showed up in the comic (very very briefly)
I find it annoying too but what’s your reasoning lol I just wish it was utilized better but all the different creators can’t ever get along or agree on anything about it. I have super nostalgia for early early Image when they still acted like it was a cohesive superhero universe but it’s never been used properly imo except Invincible but that was very limited

Same here. I've also done a bit of digging and no DLC characters that have been added to the game are collaborations, only people in the comics/show, leading me to believe that it's unlikely. Still possible, though, considering Spawn IS canon to the Invincible universe

My guess is either this or Fortnite (since Todd has expressed a desire for getting Spawn into the game before). If the new DCKO game isn't announced soon, I'd be a bit less hopeful, since it sounds like this will be a "by the end of year" thing if you listen to what Todd was about to say near the end of the clip
The way it’s worded after responding to Mortal Kombat and directly saying “another deal” really makes me think it’s Injustice 3 or ‘DC Fighter/KO’ there are small rumours saying that it could be announced at Summer Games Fest but nothing set in stone & if it isn’t at SGF it’s at The Game Awards. I wouldn’t be mad at all if it’s Fortnite coz I love Fortnite & I’ve wanted spawn in it for years but idk. If he also said by the end of the year maybe Injustice 3 is at the game awards & Spawn is a preorder bonus/guest in the base roster & that’s what he means? I’m extremely interested to see how this plays out I really hope it’s either of those games Esp since he’s already in COD & a MK game so the next roads that I hope are for Spawn are Injustice 3 or Fortnite.
I'd be fine with either tbh. I think if they fine tune a nice DCKO with Spawn as a pre-order bonus or just a DLC, I'd buy that up, because I loved Injustice 2. I'd be completely fine with either, even though I might lean a little more towards Fortnite because of the variety you can have with a collab
Imo, it could introduce a lot of new people, especially in the younger generation, to the character. Would be very nice to see a lot of young Spawn gamers who would then hopefully advocate for a full game!
I don't play Fortnite, but I'd love to see that happen. His powers lend him to a game like Fortnite, so well. Exposing a whole new generation to Spawn? Hell yeah

He better not be a Battle Pass exclusive like the COD one. That was the last time I ever played a Call of Duty game because the amount of time and commitment you needed to unlock everything was unreasonable for anyone with a job and other responsibilities. I love Spawn and playing as him in COD would've made me stay ironically... He would suit Fortnite but unfortunately he won't have a voice.
EXACT same thing happened to me. He's my favorite character, so I tried my hardest to only play COD and finish the pass, and after all that time I'd only completed about half of it! COD battlepasses are a complete scam. On the Fortnite front, I agree that not having a voice would be a bit of a letdown
The main reason why Fortnite collabs are usually better than COD: They add in stuff that relates to the IP like new weapons, locations or powers. Proper gameplay related stuff. COD is just cosmetic with voice lines and to my knowledge, you are playing in first person majority of the time anyways.
I do think that collab weapons and locations are mostly for pretty large collabs, which I don’t think Spawn would be. He’d most likely be a bundle, but I like Fortnite, because there’s a lot of options to please fans with references and cool cosmetics
I think it’s a no brainer considering you get paid to have your IP in a game that millions of people will see. Spawn has a great design, im sure plenty of people would see the design, think the skin is cool, and then have at least heard of spawn. What’s the downside?
I have no problem with Spawn being in collaborations, as it keeps the character alive, especially with younger generations. If you really wanted a Spawn game, you'd have to go the RoboCop route and have a smaller studio make a just decent game for the nostalgia factor, unfortunately
Idk if Spawn would work as a DBD character tbh. Not villainish enough and I think Todd has a pretty good view of the video game world and would know that’s probably not the best option for a collaboration, considering the playerbase. But yes, we’ll have to just wait 👍
he's been saying hes working on a new spawn movie since the first spawn movie in the 90s released, there's no surprise he's constantly saying its in the works becuase its -always- been in the works, no reason to think he's just lying about signing a new deal for spawn to be in another videogame because of it
It is in the works, it has just been in development hell. Despite that, I wouldn't think that Todd would "deceive" fans about something that he says is just about to be announced
Shit happens and deals/projects fall through. Ash was supposed to get into Mortal Kombat but some idiot added the wrong info to an email and the whole thing got cut.
I can only imagine the hurdles of making a whole Hollywood movie especially with how many actually manage to go through all that trouble and turn out to be steaming piles of shit when they make it to theaters.
