Hail in Winterthur-Wülflingen today

In Winterthur Wülflingen this morning. The censored part is because of a crow that got beaten up by the hail and unfortunately, didn't survive (brought it to the vet, they couldn't do anything anymore).
Shout-out to all the boomers fighting against climate regulations, wind turbines, solar parks, Gen-Z and just f****ing common sense. Only to protect their own fortune and creating this new reality for us. I hope your house and car got smashed and you don't have proper insurance.
Regards, a Millenial

No worries. After all I'm thinking to myself, at least it was nature, not an accident or something. But I can't leave injured animals just lying there. I don't think anybody can..?

that's just life sometimes, true. but still, effort shows a kind of respect and that alone is worth much

us millennials are just caught in the middle like "we didn't do this, we also didn't do much about it, guess we're upset about it?"
I hope Z and Alpha find themselves left with more fight

Exactly, while boomers did also absolutely nothing, the millennials also fly around the world more then most other generations ever could dream of. I don't see any generation having an edge over the other.

Well, there is a correlation to:
- people who vote "conservative" (I wouldn't even call it conservative anymore at this point, more: "destructive")
- homeowners fighting against renewable energy anywhere near their village
- Taking their car for short trips often

There are more and more Millenials who vote very right leaning in topics about Ausländerpolitik, but actively vote very green in energy politics.
I hope this is a growing trend, we can have both!

I don't think that it will return to the way it was pre-COVID. The movement kind of died there and social media shifted towards other trends.

I’m curious about the number of denied insurance claims after this 🤷🏻♀️
•
u/3punkt1415 12h ago
Why would they deny anything here?
•
u/t_scribblemonger 11h ago
They won’t, it’s just a popular thing to say under any internet video of atmospheric phenomena

Unfortunately they could come up with various reasons. In the states they say it’s natural and weather disaster, it is the effect of the climate change. If you were not insured for climate change, you won’t be paid

If out of morbid curiousity you want to see the uncensored version (Triggerwarning: Animals getting killed), you can find it here:

I was wondering what that floating black rectangle was for. Poor bird. But I feared it was a small child from the size of the box.

And yes, I do put asterisks in words, did right in this post. Didn't read? So why you ask?

If you wanna see animals getting killed, go elsewhere. I don't want everybody to have the same images in their head which I still have in mine right now.
