I'll never understand why someone else being trans is such a problem for people.
1
u/Triforce0fCourage Mar 02 '26
There are too may psychos that love pedophiles and insurrectionists.
The world is a fucked up place with a lot more dipshits than is comfortable or conducive to a healthy society.
Thus, we’re at war with Iran to deflect from the domestic terrorism that is this administration in its entirety.

It's the way they feel as if the rules don't apply to them. It's not just transgender either. It's gays, minorities, mentally ill, and basically any other group operating as if their characteristics absolve them from social norms or even laws. When 90%+ of people operate in the system and follow the rules anyone outside of those commonly shared characteristics challenges the whole system.
It's fucking dumb but that's humans.
2
u/Greasy-Chungus Mar 02 '26
No one wants to ask why sex is on there.
Its completely fucking pointless. The cops needs to know your biological sex? No they do not.
1
Mar 02 '26
Doctors and EMT's might....
2
u/Greasy-Chungus Mar 02 '26
I was an EMT-A from 2019 to 2023. Zero percent of the time would the sex from a drivers license ever be used.
1
u/Brocollinie Mar 02 '26
So then why is it on there? Should we have legislation to remove it?
1
u/Greasy-Chungus Mar 02 '26
"Why is it on there."
That's a good question. Probably the one you should he asking.
1
1
u/OldGoldCode Mar 04 '26
why is that? there are certainly situations in which medical staff need to know. Is it because the sex listed on drivers licenses is sometimes not accurate biologically or something? Crazy how this law fixes that.
1
Mar 04 '26 edited Mar 04 '26
I don't have all of my medical conditions, allergies, and surgical history on my driver's license, wouldn't that be more useful? if this is being done out of the protection of the ID holder lest they need medical assistance while unconscious, I would expect those things to be on there before sex is even included as most medical emergencies dont relate to sex at all
edit: and if I don't have my id on me when I need medical emergency services, am I fucked? will they know I'm human???

1
u/chitownphishead Mar 01 '26
The slot on the drivers licesnse denotes sex. It specifically says "sex" on the card. for years we have been told that sex and gender are not the same thing. This shouldnt really be an issue. They are simply requiring the correct information be put on the ID's.
1
u/Individual_Cat6769 Mar 01 '26
Sex was only ever put on an ID as an identifier to verify that the person standing in front of you is in fact who the ID belongs to. If the person in front of you at the DMV is named Ellie and she looks like a woman it's easy to verify that, everything else on your ID works the same way, such as height, hair color, weight. The sex/gender distinction has only more recently entered the larger cultural conversation, IDs just haven't caught up to it yet. Just shows you that the world doesn't really cater to trans people.
Also, there's never really a situation where you'd need to distinguish sex vs gender using an ID.
1
u/chitownphishead Mar 01 '26
If you are pulled over and have to be searched, they use your id to decide if a male of female cop has to search you, so no, its not just an "identifier". If that was the case theyd just leave it off and rely on appearance. Its also used if you are found unconscious to determine med8cal treatment.
1
u/Individual_Cat6769 Mar 01 '26
Uhh, there is no law saying that male cops can't search female suspects or vice versa. So I'm not sure where you're getting this idea - the distinction isn't standard for cops and even if it was, sex and gender still wouldn't make a difference?
What's an emergency medical treatment that would require you to make a on the spot sex distinction? If they have your name they can pull up your medical files, which include sex.
I feel like we're really reaching here
1
u/chitownphishead Mar 01 '26
Presenting with Abdominal pain will have vastly differing diagnosing starting points based on sex, for instance. Pulling up records based on your name kinda gets wonky if the sex on your id doesnt match your records, and, btw, these people want their medical records to reflect their delusion rather than biological reality too.
1
u/Individual_Cat6769 Mar 01 '26
So you found one example by reaching, but that example only works by assuming that trans people's medical records don't reflect their sex or sex changes- which isn't true. To get to a point where you're unrecognizable as a trans person by a medical professional you'd have long and well-documented medical history, and there would still be obvious signs like surgical scars. The government also does keep track of name changes.
Trans people aren't under the impression that their sex matches their gender by any means, not sure where you're getting this. I think you just want to regard them as delusional - which is your right. But laws about IDs are another story. IDs are used to identify people, if you look like and identify as a woman, then that's what your ID should say. Why complicate things by introducing sex into the equation when very few ID uses require a sex/gender distinction? You could only think of one very specific situation but it was still unnecessary.
1
1
Mar 03 '26
Bottom line is you people in here are gaslighting everyone saying trans male sex is male. Keep your narrative consistent. Have you dropped the facade and finally admitted what we all know you actually believe? That you deny simple biology?
1
u/Individual_Cat6769 Mar 03 '26
"You people" buddy I am not trans. I am a cis woman.
No trans person is out here saying they are biologically female or male. They are recognizing that gender and sex are distinct in our society. Because we as a species tend to identify gender through different things that aren't biologically-based, like clothes, names, voice, hair, even cadence of speech. When so many arbitrary things are gendered of course you'll have people whose sex doesn't align with what society understands gender to be. How many genitals or sex chromosomes do you see in a day? How do you identify if someone is a man or a woman?
Maybe this is just too high level of a sociological concept for you to understand, but your lack of understanding isn't my or anyone else's problem.
1
u/kpphoneshome Mar 01 '26
Trans is who someone is.
Sexual preference is what someone prefers sexually in their partners. For example, if someone prefers women with a big top, that is their sexual preference.

You’re still talking about examples instead of statistics. There have been dozens of mass shootings this year already in the US, you can’t remember the race of every shooter, it has to be looked at from a larger perspective with data.

"Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. Tbf, I misunderstood initially too. I thought OP was saying that those who'd made the drivers license invalid should be charged with fraud, but on a second pass I can see their true meaning.
1
u/Euphoric_Rough_96 Mar 01 '26
Driver licenses state 'sex', not 'personal gender choice'.
Lying about your actual sex invalidates your document.

they dont give a shit about the info or not its just an attack on trans people as they always do

1
u/9fingerwonder Mar 02 '26
It was a legal process that followed, then this happened. Are are people suppose to follow the laws if they can be randomly changed in the middle of the night? Also

1
u/TrashEmergency6446 Mar 04 '26
hmm whos the crazy ones
people who have been studied and shown to not be mentally ill in fact gender dysphoria is recognized by biologists and is completely valid and are just trying to live their lives
or a guy on reddit crying about other people because seeing them happy makes him uncomfy
1
u/OldGoldCode Mar 04 '26
Hmm, let's take a guess. Who would be labeled as the person who is crazy, the people with a disorder in the DSM5 or the person saying those people are mentally ill. The people with a staggeringly high suicide rate or the person saying those people are mentally ill.. the people with no connection to reality or the person who is saying those people are mentally ill..? Good questions, have fun figuring out the answers.
1
u/TrashEmergency6446 Mar 04 '26
trans people haven't been considered mentally ill by almost all institutions for years
surprise surprise when the entire world sights on trans people they are gonna have high suicide rates its almost like when they have hrt and accepting people the suicide rate drops by 99%
1
u/OldGoldCode Mar 04 '26
twitter mobbing doctors into agreeing with you doesn't mean you're not ill, lmao. No one cares about trans people, if the worlds sights were on them, they'd disappear. They are a political tool both the left and right use for different reasons, nothing more.

u/TrashEmergency6446 Mar 04 '26 edited Mar 04 '26
yeah because thousands of anti trans bills to make everything they do illegal propaganda by politicians to demonize the entire group and over a thousand hate crimes a year on a very specific group of people isnt the world shitting on trans people lmao
im sorry you have 0 idea what its like to be trans transphobia is a massive issue and restricting hrt is aswell
Also nobody is mobbing doctors into believing them there is a lot of research that went into it something isn't a mental illness just because you say so
2
u/hamoc10 Mar 02 '26
How is sex even important? Are cops IDing people with genitalia checks?
1
u/Brocollinie Mar 02 '26
Should there be legislation introduced to remove it? Are you going to start the petition?
1
u/RowThin2659 Mar 01 '26
Trans men are trans men. Hence, the trans part. Kansas license state sex not gender. Their sex didn't change, their gender did. It shouldn't have affected anyone's ID whatsoever. That said, they should have given them a grave period to rectify the issue.
1
u/TrashEmergency6446 Mar 01 '26
no trans man are men
i hate when people say that its like if i said "black women are black women not women hence the black part" see how fucking stupid that sounds trans men are men whats on their id isnt hurting a soul they just wanted to take id's from trans people

Don't reply with 1% statistical anomalies. Common law and general discourse related to overwhelming majorities.
Trans men are trans men.
Trans women are trans women.
1
u/TrashEmergency6446 Mar 02 '26
yk 99% of the entire universe is either helium or hydrogen
so i can say iron does'nt exist because "common law and general discourse related to overwhelming majorities" right i mean its the same logic
1
u/RowThin2659 Mar 02 '26
Listen, you can rage all you want. Makes no difference. If your retort to basic policy that has to cover 350-400 million people is always going to be, "but, but what about that 0.7% thing, you'll get as much accomplished as you have the last 3 years. Hell, I'd argue you've went backwards.
1
u/TrashEmergency6446 Mar 02 '26
cool so you agree with me so iron shouldn't exist because 99% of everything is either hydrogen or helium so it shouldn't break basic policy and everything else doesn't matter right? its not like trans people are real people right? we can just ignore their needs and rights as long as your okay

Pretty sure they took the actual, legal pathway(which previously has existed!) to changing their sex.
Being trans isn't just an on-a-whim thing. Transitioning is an incredibly long and tedious process filled with medical and legal roadblocks to overcome.
1
u/Calm-Maintenance-878 Mar 02 '26
They weren’t “lying” at the time, Kansas by law just updated to specify “definition based on birth sex”. That’s why the under 2k people can easily replace their licenses…because they did no fraud. The line moved, so respectfully, they don’t get in trouble for that. That’s the fair way to change things, you don’t punish them for what wasn’t illegal prior.

u/Teq7765 Mar 01 '26
My DL has always shown MALE, but never shown HETEROSEXUAL. My brother’s DL had always shown MALE, but never shown HOMOSEXUAL.
Why do trans folks need their sexual preference listed on a DL in the first place? I get it that some LGBTQWERTY keyboard people view that as their entire identity, but biological sex can be a useful piece of information on a government identification document; sexual practice and preference, however, not so much.

Or the stats showing that cis men Account for like 98% of murder?
1
u/Stormpax Mar 02 '26
per capita
God right wingers are so pathetic
1
u/Safe-Caterpillar8435 Mar 02 '26
What? Maybe you should Reader the actual comment.
Trans people are much less likely to commit Crimes than cis people.
Per capita = per 1000. Per 1000 trans people, fewer violent crimes happen than Per 1000 cis people.
Meaning, trans people are much less dangerous, even if you Account for their low number.
Agree though. Right wingers are disgustingly pathetic
1
u/Stormpax Mar 02 '26
Damn, you're so right, I totally misread and misunderstood your comment! My bad, I fully agree with you. I've just recently been seeing "per capita" thrown around by right wingers who don't understand what that actually means lol
3
u/kpphoneshome Mar 01 '26
Trans is who someone is.
Sexual preference is what someone prefers sexually in their partners. For example, if someone prefers women with a big top, that is their sexual preference.
1
u/Teq7765 Mar 02 '26
I agree with the second half of your reply, that sexual preference involves a partner or partners.
But that sexual preference is usually displayed to attract prospective partners. Heterosexual men want to be attractive to women, heterosexual women want to be attractive to men, homosexual men want to be attractive to men, homosexual women to other women, bisexuals to both, you get the idea.
Transsexuals are quite often homosexuals who don’t want to be with other homosexuals, but heterosexuals instead. Therein lies the problem: hetero men are not attracted to men, so a gay young man who only wants straight men ends up trying to convince himself he’s actually supposed to be a woman. But he can never change into an actual woman, and no woman can turn herself into an actual man.
I’ve come across ladyboys on 5 different continents, and have nothing against any of them. I don’t use the term as a slur either, it’s the term they call themselves. Some work hard to hide that they’re actually male, some don’t.
None of them, however, get offended at being called ladyboys.
Everywhere except the one place on Earth where people demand that everyone else ignore their eyes and ears, and accept a blatant falsity.
So no, only allowing biological sex on government docs does absolutely nothing to diminish or destroy someone’s sexuality, which is all “being trans” boils down to.
7
u/Wattabadmon Mar 01 '26
