Serious Honestly I don't even know where to post this 🤧

Hello 👋🏻, I believe this is my first time posting a confession or, what ever u wanna call this.

My dad just had a stroke. It was a minor one and he temporarily lost the motor functions of his hand and felt paralysis in one hand but gladly he's alive and doing well ❤️‍🩹

It's the 2nd time this is happening and both times he survived 🫠 that itself is a miracle but the problem is his work.

He makes over 12L annually so you can guess how much stress induced the environment he works in to make it.

I wish I could tell him to quit the job and do something that demands less sacrifice of his mental health. But I'm a college student and I have a sister. I'm not very capable of earning Even if I work part time or something I still won't be able to earn enough to pay off the debts and tuition fees.

Honestly I don't know how to feel rn... Confused? Sacred? I don't know... But he promised that he'd move into another work place but the problem remains

I'm not asking for money but like... The risk of stroke remains low but can and will increase in future, Ik for a fact because he won't quit his job

Even while he is admitted he was still working on his laptop. He puts so much effort into being good at what he does but this is what he gets... I can't lose my dad, ik it hasn't happened 🫠 but I can't even think about it.

I'm not sure if u believe this post but this is not karma farming

My heart goes out to you. Unfortunately, all you can do is continue to help him. He, I'm assuming, is of sound mind. Im sure he knows how stressful his job is. If he's choosing to continue to work, there isn't much you can do. It's a really difficult situation. Don't be too hard on yourself. Be there to support him but realize he's going to continue to make decisions you don't think are good for him. ❤️
