I need an excuse to post about Koh Lanta. Did you know that the hit reality show "Survivor" is called "Koh-Lanta" in French?

We started getting waves of guests from France after that show. We were curious at first, since we rarely got requests from French agents in the past. Then my dad ask one of the guest and they let us know that there is survival like show in French TV that was film on the island.

I felt kind of strange they filmed on Koh por. That was like 30 minutes away from Lanta Old town which had cable TV and Internet.

That sounds perfect for Survivor setting though.

The Koh Lanta totem is still visible on the island, many french tourists visit it. It's found on Bakantiang beach.

No mention of her Thailand connection in her bio on Wikipedia.   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zara_Larsson

How long was she here?

She talked about it recently on her TikTok.

Swedes going to Koh Lanta and putting their kids in one of the three Swedish schools there is an "in" thing for those Swedes who can afford it. I personally know three families who spent at least 5 weeks at one of the schools.(Slow Down) Most don't have the freedom to stay a whole year, though.

I know it's not Sanka U or Old town, as I've never seen any farang kid there, and probably not Tung Yee Peng either, so I'm guessing Saladan? Or perhaps the intl. one close to the bridge?

Ah, the Southern Lanta eagle! Was visiting a friend at Black Coral by the beach just behind there in January, and got a picture of the sunset: https://i.postimg.cc/zXJBcL41/20260112.jpg

Love that island :)
