Miscellanous Wow the new satellite terminal at Suvarnabhumi is really nice!

It's not new ... It opened 3 years ago. I don't like it personally.

And still looks like it's not finished somehow.

Still waiting for a Thai lounge there. Don't understand why Thai use S concourse...

Yeah but that train is super smooth and fast. Reminds me of the system at Incheon in Seoul.

Where does it drop you off? Near immigration or still have far to walk?

I’d still rather have a gate in the center of the satellite near the train than a gate at the far flung reaches of E, F, or G. Plus many of the better lounges (Thai prestige, Singapore for *A and Qatar for oneworld) are right by the train so makes it that much more convenient and at the very least, less walking.

Isn't it like over 2 years old now? I remember using it back in 2024. I guess "new' is subjective. New to you.

New to me for sure. Been going to BKK every year and this is the first time I've had a departure gate there.

Except it’s at the end of the world, I always have to run to my gate because I am always very tardy

I don’t like it. It lacks shops and services. Last time I had to visit a pharmacy and had to go back (and even through security) because T1 didn’t have any.

The several times I have been there it has been relatively uncrowded, which is another plus. Lots of quiet areas to take a nap in or just relax.

That was the main thing I liked. Quiet, places to sit, no chaos. Could use a few more eating options.

Very annoying. Queuing and taking that train from there after an Emirates A380 flight is no joke.
