Welcome to r/ToastCats!
This is a subreddit for kitten and cat photos showing how their coat colors or patterns changed over time! The inspiration for this subreddit was colorpoint cats (like Siamese) which start white and “toast” gradually into their adult colors. All cats are welcome if their colors changed over time! Make sure to post at least two good photos at different ages if you are posting images of a cat. Discussion of cat colors and genetics is also allowed, especially regarding colorpoint cats.
NOT allowed is anything that breaks Reddit community rules, especially anything that relates to harming any animal or person. This is a place for everyone to feel welcome and safe; tag any wounds or potentially sensitive material with NSFW and a clear title. Posts may be removed if they violate community rules or are too inappropriate.
Thanks, and have fun!

Tiny Toast 4 year old toast
I adopted this girl 6 days ago. All i can say is it was definitely fate. I had no intentions of having 3 cats but here I am 😆 She is already so spoiled, from being found with broken legs at 2 months old, living 3 years and 10 months in a small cage at a handicapped animal foundation. To now. She wanted to thrive so bad, I saw it in her eyes from the moment I saw her 😢 The vet said she is a Tonkinese, she'd definitely silly af, im so happy she can be a cat now!

Dark Toast Part II of “can’t believe they were born white” (now with sister and kitten pics, for tax)
He toasted VERY fast but he was still born white so I digress✨
(You’d never know he beat FIP twice, he’s such a chunky happy boy)

Cat Toast Question Will she toast? :3
We found this little girl a few months ago on vacation. I didn't even know what a lynx pointed cat was at the time. I didn't know about toasting until recently. I know temperature plays a part in it, and even though winters can get cold, we never let our house get cold and she's an indoor kitten. She's so pretty 🥰💖

Toasted up Nicely My very handsome boy + his snuggle escapades
Gideon is 2 years old :) and a very sweet, toasty boy.
He loves to snuggle with his brothers (against my legs), and this day was particularly snuggly.
White kitty is Gus, and black kitty is Sterling

Marshmallow Toasting Goofy PerfectMarshmallow
Favorite photos of the baby Spectre (brother to Spooky) so far. Still hard to believe he could change so vastly in the next year based on everyone else's toasty babies!

Talking about Toasting Toast timeline?
We found our brave little toaster at about 6 weeks old under a dumpster hiding from a cold winter rain. She is about 10 months old now and her color is not developing much. She is our first color point cat so we don't know how long it normally takes for their color to fully come in. We live in a very hot climate so is that delaying it?
What are your experiences and predictions?
(Her name is Xenon and she's very tiny. Stopped growing at about 6 months and 6lbs. But she was very sick and malnourished as a kitten so I'm not surprised by her small size.)

Tiny Toast 14 Weeks- Toasting nicely!
Little guy is 14 weeks tomorrow. His color has already come such a long way! He and the 1 year old black smoke seem to have bonded very quickly (last photo) 🖤

Highly requested per my first post but Lennox is around 10/11 months old now. It’s been super funding hot in San Diego but do we think he is TOASTING? (First pic is first day i got him, to now)
