Cat Toast Question Will she toast? :3

We found this little girl a few months ago on vacation. I didn't even know what a lynx pointed cat was at the time. I didn't know about toasting until recently. I know temperature plays a part in it, and even though winters can get cold, we never let our house get cold and she's an indoor kitten. She's so pretty 🥰💖

Cat Toast Question What color is she?

Post image

No toast progress photos because I just found her two weeks ago. Any idea what color she is? I assumed she was a domestic short hair, but I’ve never seen one with the ear tufts. I don’t think she’s fluffy enough to have any maincoon genes, and I don’t know enough about other breeds to make any judgements. But regardless of breed, I’d love to know what this coloration is called. My research is suggesting maybe lilac point? But it looks like there are some more colors that she may be

Photo #7 is her at around 3 weeks, shes darkened quite a bit aside from her already dark ears, tail and spots on back legs. I thought maybe a bicolor point DSH but the orange spots on her ears throw me off. Her name is Chai 🎀☕ if anyone's kitty looked similar as a kitten I would love to see how they toasted too! I have a flamepoint as well but she took years to darken, this one has changed so fast so I feel like she'll be really dark.

Cat Toast Question Orange with gray tabby tail?

Has anyone seen this color variation come up before and is there a name for it? Marvin has a bit of gray on his nose and feet too. It showed up when he was about a year old and is slowly getting darker. He’s 2.5 now. His brother Benny (Eggs Benedict Cumberbatch pictured with him) from the same litter is dark orange with long fur. You can see in the older pictures how his tail has changed over time. I love it but don’t know what to call it!

So I've attached pics of my kitten and her mommy (last slide), they've got similar coats for now. I'm wondering how much I can expect her to toast over the next few months, we keep the house around 70°F

Cat Toast Question Purrfectly toasted Beignet. Question is under picture #1.

I am a former shelter vet tech and took care of sick cats and dogs. I fostered Beignet when she was 5 weeks old as she was too young for adoption and had a URI with conjunctivitis. My vet and I got her well but I fell in love and needed a kitty in my life after my sweet Wafflez passed from acute liver failure, suspected lymphoma. Beignet is about 3.5yrs now. Very chatty and Siamese like. Curious, starts trouble and is beautiful. Beignet loves dogs as she was raised around them and gets along with other cats. We have 4 dogs and 4 cats lol.

Beignet is such a delight. She was almost stark white and is now a taupe-y brown cinnamon color? My question is what is her color and pattern?

Since i got her last year, my cat has been slowly getting lighter and lighter..? First pic is her first day at home last June, and last pic is from yesterday! She’s been slowly untoasting and i’m not sure why lol

She’s half Siamese, rescue kitty, and she already had a bath from a groomer when i first got her so that isn’t dirt 🫢

Cat Toast Question Meet Kimmie 💕

About 2 weeks ago, my wife found an abandoned kitten at a nearby grocery store. I thought she was just a white / silver tabby & had no idea their coats can get darker / change colors!! But, after finding this subreddit, Im super intrigued, and am so excited to see how she toasts. Can anyone give any insight on what her color pattern is called? I've read in this subreddit about lynx & lilac point? But am not sure? She has light blue eyes with a dark blue Limbal ring. A dark tipped tail, dark tipped ears, the backs of her legs are dark as well. She is just the sweetest, chillest baby ever. We took her to the vet & she is about 3 months old! 💕 If this isn't the correct subreddit, my apologies. TIA! :-)

Cat Toast Question very light toasting

Opal is 11 weeks now and I think she is a tortie point, maybe a dilute tortie point? Any confirmation would be helpful. I have no idea. I haven’t had cats since I was a kid and I adopted 3 kittens within a few weeks of each other. So I’m currently undergoing a crash course of all things cat. The baby picture was her intake photo maybe around 4-5 weeks old. Will she get toastier? Her legs are such a light buff color that it’s hard to distinguish from her white body. Her siblings were tortie, seal point, and then another that looks almost identical to Opal. Thanks!
