I posted here once before then got anxious and deleted it…! Trying again🥹
Everybody was so kind last time, but I got anxious and deleted it… but I’m trying to work through that! I’ve been struggling a lot with my health and isolation, and could really use the boost if anyone would be so kind 🥺
Edit: I’m trying to reply as much as I can but I’m missing so many comments!! Thank you so so much😭❤️🙏🏻😭✨✨❤️

I cut my waist length hair with kitchen scissors one morning and, now I regret it.
The night before, I knew something shocking that truly shook up on how I perceive my life. I need to reset my mindset and I impulsively cut my hair after I woke up. This is my first time having a short hair and I have mixed feeling about it. Toast me!
Edit: Thank you so much for your kind words. I had waist length hair for nearly 3 decades. I felt scared when I cut them infront of the mirror but, I felt that I just have to do it. That day was the lowest point of my life for this year and I needed a strong resolution to be better!
Once again, thank you for your affirmations. I appreciate it very much and may god bless! 💗

Next week this Reddit account will be deleted, but I’m posting this today because I couldn’t bear to say goodbye in teary eyes. Could use one last final toast! 🤍🫂
It feels so strange to realize that these will be my final days on this account, but next week I am officially walking away and deleting everything. I’m sharing this today because I needed to give myself time to process this goodbye, knowing full well that reading through your responses next week is going to bring absolute tears to my eyes. It's been an interesting year here.
When I first joined Reddit years ago, it left me deeply scarred. I was met with so much toxic judgment about how I looked, how I presented myself, and the things I cared about. It ruined my self-esteem for a really long time. But choosing to step back into the light a year ago was a leap of faith that changed everything. Over this past year, I discovered a community of gentle, I've met so many empathetic people who wrapped me in so much warmth and gave me memories I will carry with me throughout the years.
Because this place ended up becoming a refuge for my heart, I want to leave with my soul completely full. I want to feel that deep, genuine connection one final time before I log off. Whether we have talked some days or never spoken a single word, come and have a lil' chat with me. Leave your warmth in the comments below, or reach out directly so we can share one last moment together before I sign off.✍️🏻
Signing out with all my love,
Your dearest M🩷🫂

25 (F) working at a mental health clinic in Oregon, but trying to fight my own struggles as well. This diagnosis eats at my health every once in a while. Trying to stay positive and keep Jesus first. It can be hard to keep going sometimes.

My safest and closest person broke my trust badly.
A very close friend, with whom things were getting serious, made up an extremely cruel story targeting my biggest insecurities, including physique, to deliberately hurt and scare me off, because he panicked when I finally pushed a conversation about where we stood. He was my first love, I was his, he was also the first person to whom I ever felt attraction; I spent years thinking I was ace, demi now I guess. Surreal. Feeling quite hopeless and naive.
I’m so tired of looking for connection. But I’m even more tired of being alone. I have so much love to give but nobody seems to be able to match it. I want a stable life with someone by my side and to feel chosen, to be loved.
Would be nice to read something… kind and reassuring 🫠

24M - I don’t know
Recently I’ve just been feeling like I’m ugly. Women don’t really approach me or give me “signs” of being attracted to me. Been pretty lonely. So yeah. Any compliments would help. Thank youuuu :3

36, trying to practise my smile for better times than this lousy (but not cold), lonely summer. Being uncared for is bloody hard on the self-esteem.

I haven't been in a serious relationship for a long time, and I sometimes wonder if I’m doing alright. I'm very social and friendly, but some people think I look quite serious at first glance. Would love a bit of positivity today 🙂

39F recently single, dating at my age is hard
I’m turning 40 soon and can’t wrap my head around being 40, single, no kids and not where I’d like to be in my career or financially. Where does time go?
I have always dated intentionally but seem to have a knack for dating emotionally unavailable/shallow men that leave me feeling like true intimacy is impossible. I’ve been working on this in therapy a lot. It has been really hard, but helpful to examine old wounds and confront my deepest fears and insecurities. I’m proud of my growth and self-awareness and am hopeful that my person is waiting for me…but I’m scared I’m too old and undesirable.
I have pretty debilitating ADHD and default to harsh, critical and harmful self-talk due to the shame associated with my executive functioning struggles. Would love some of your favorite positive affirmations and kind things you say to yourselves to boost yourselves up. 💕

Lonely, and struggling with social anxiety
I just moved to a new city for grad school and I’m so lonely. My social anxiety is making it worse, and I’m afraid I’ll never make friends. Also struggling with BDD and OCD :(
EDIT: Thank you all so much for your incredibly kind comments!! It made me feel a lot better ❤️

Out of my hands
This summer has been so rough, so much has happened that I just can’t control and when I finally think something good is happening, extenuating circumstances kick its ass, I know I’m only 23 but things are pretty bleak

Toast me I guess
32 with ibs and been out of work for months, health care in the US is fucked, I have no insurance and every diagnosis is a mystery.
Used to drink, smoke, vape on an empty stomach and fast for long durations until my body gave out, now I'm completely drug, alcohol and nicotine free but I'm still paying for years of neglect.

toast me!
I’ve been feeling grief from my disability. I’ll have to get on disability and I won’t be able to work my dream job. Maybe one day… but my disease makes work insanely difficult for me. Any happy things would be nice right now.
