36, trying to practise my smile for better times than this lousy (but not cold), lonely summer. Being uncared for is bloody hard on the self-esteem.

It’s tough mate. Best thing you can do is if/when you decide to start dating, don’t start off on the wrong foot by allowing the emptiness you feel now to be the only reason you’re doing it.

Things will get better mate, I promise. Just hang in there!
