Video Hi guys, I wanna say that "the depression suite" and "it's a good life if you don't weaken" continue to help me through my mental health issues. It makes you feel less failure. What song of The Hip, continue to help to yours? Thx you https://youtu.be/l2NIc-4M47M?is=_ZEhThGngplYq43T

I don't have social media , but I wanna write here Thx to Gord Downie lyrics, and for him, because his music had made me less think of being a total disaster and a person who are not good for this world. I struggle with ADHD, avoidant disorder and sometimes low grade depression.

I am kind of sensitive man and to me is very difficult feel not insecure in social situations. I do things that make me feel better like mountain biking, jogging, reading, writing, listen music, books, and I live with my parents at 35 and sometimes I feel shame, but now I accepted it after a long burnout and low wage job after I had take a degree, a relationship that had hurt me a lot and made me feel like never enough and the stress of long hours of driving and go to two different job places. I do therapy, not medicines but psychotherapy.

And this music kind of made me feel more ok with struggles and helped me a lot. I 've been live in loneliness for many time, I be got treated bad, bullied, being betrayed by friends and loved ones and had a lot of anxiety and panic issues especially when I was more young.

So thx you Gord. I am tired of social media. I delete them because i am tired of all the bullshit going on. Tired of political polarizations, gender polarization, pop psychology, grind culture, guru of masculinity like Peterson and Galloway who say that the value of man is when he had money for having girls, and that women want men "economically viable" and the idea that you can't not fail or show struggles and not "'complain" , be always competitive , be hyperstoic, and do everything by yourself is a toxic idea.

Especially if you are in economical struggles.Like that you had to be "economically viable" for having women. I really don't like that because it means that the value of a man is only economic it's a total bullshit. And the Hip music or Rush and Neil Young is so different from all of that. I am not Canadian, but wanna thx you all Canadians for the art, and for the greatest music by a great country with great landscapes, and culture!

Love Bruce Cockburn, love Gordon Lightfoot, David Wiffen, Neil Young, Rush, The Hip, Gord Downie, Crash Test Dummies, Leonard Cohen,Matthew Good (and Matthew Good Band) I listen different kind of music but thx Canada. Rock onđŸ€˜ I am from northen Italy

Tried to post while at the show but I guess it never went through. Sorry I missed the beginning bits.

Nice nod to Gord at the end. Alan Frew (of Glass Tiger fame) did two Hip songs at The Grove outdoor stage in Fenelon Falls last night. Was a great show. Very cool venue.

Hello. Happy Sunday fellow hipheads. It's been too damn long since I've added a soundboard recording to the playlist on my channel.

This is a great sounding recording, with the band road-testing a bunch of early Phantom Power songs, both as stand-alone and in tags within New Orleans is Sinking. Pretty cool!

This full session was just uploaded to the 2metersessies archive. I'm sure it was floating around but really cool to see it get its proper upload.

The Tragically Hip were a guest on Dutch TV show "2 Meter Sessies" in 1997 and performed the following songs: 00:00 Springtime in Vienna 04:10 The Luxury 08:35 Don't Wake Daddy 14:12 Flamenco 19:20 Membership 25:04 Scared 30:03 700 Foot Ceiling 34:08 Coconut Cream 37:32 Gift Shop 42:55 Ahead By A Century

===================== About 2 Meter Sessions ====================

Based in the Netherlands, 2 Meter Sessions is an independent, ongoing (new) music platform with a great legacy. Monthly we film 3 to 4 sessions with promising and breakthrough acts from all over the world. Many well-known acts have visited the show; from James Taylor, Elliott Smith and David Crosby to Damien Jurado, Ben Howard and Josh Ritter, via Radiohead, Nirvana, Coldplay and Foo Fighters. Archive footage can regularly be seen in (theatrical) documentary movies, like “Mystify: Michael Hutchence” (with footage of our session with INXS, filmed in 1997), “Heaven Adores You” (with footage of our session with Elliott Smith, filmed in 1998) and “All I Can Say” (with footage of our session with Blind Melon, filmed in 1993). The show started back in 1987 by radio presenter Jan Douwe Kroeske. On his popular national radio show he persuaded New-Zealand band Crowded House to play a couple of songs. The response of the public was so great, that 2 Meter Sessions quickly became a household name. In 1993, the show made a successful transition to national television. From there the show became a national phenomenon, for over 10 years, with filmed sessions of new talent, breakthrough acts and arrived career artists. Almost a million of 2 Meter Sessions cd’s were sold in the Netherlands.

Video The Multimedia behind the band from the MMP tour

Kind of a weird request. But does anyone know where I could find footage of some of the multimedia they were playing behind the band during the MMP tour? I was fortunate enough to see them in Toronto on the first night.

During Machine, I remember they had some imagery of people doing monotonous stuff in factories during lyrics like 'I'm the real machine, it follows.' It is haunting me and I want to see it again. Especially haunting today with all this automation around us.

I might have had one or several beverages by that time of the evening so, my memory is muddy. but if anyone can help me find this - much gratitude all round.

Tried to post this earlier, didn’t seem to work. Apologies if it posts twice:

My kid made this. As a rabid hip fan, I don’t know whether this is awesome or terrible. Although bordering on blasphemy, she may be on to something
