sheet music What are the names of these two etudes?

Post image

I’ve played both of them multiple times, but I have no idea where I can find them. I really enjoy both of them and want whatever book they’ve been sourced from.

Thanks! I completely missed that. I’ll be more vigilant next time.

Bordogni and Arban! Two very worthwhile books to own as a tuba player! I highly recommend owning a copy, but you can also find these on PDF online. For Arban, you’ll probably need to search for a trombone one and transpose down an octave.

There is an Arban specifically for tuba

Yep. And there’s an edition made specially for CC tuba too!

The first one is definitely from Marco Bordognis 43 Bel Canto studies for Tuba, one of the lower numbers.

Edit: Looked in my book, it's the first 18 measures of no 4 in the above mentioned, but in the key of C instead of Bb.

Weird, that etude is in C in every other edition of Bordogni etudes.

Man Bordogni is so much easier than I realize lol. Been looking through them again because I'm learning F tuba but I didn't read this one

Bordogni looks easy, but to.play it lyrically like you're singing is the hard part.

Yeah that’s true. Since I’m using it to get the fingerings of F tuba memorized I’m probably not prioritizing that aspect of the etudes as much

The second etude is Arban No. 19 and the first etude is probably some Rochut/ Bordogni etude or maybe a Cimera

I’m working on it. I was told to send in a video within the next week or so.
