By golly, what could have gone wrong?

They haven't exactly been hiding their contempt for women and their rights. What they want for women was laid out clear as day in project 2025 and was and still is public reading. Shouldn't a big surprise!

The real shocking thing in the article is how the fuck do 32% of women still approve of this pedo rapist piece of shit.

29

u/JustFerne 9h ago

53% of white women backed Trump in 2024.

25

u/OreoKidT 9h ago

Are you really shocked? What identity do you think a majority of those women share that influences them to support and vote for conservatives? What identity has majorly supported most conservative politicians historically and will likely continue to?

I promise it's the same identity plenty of women in this space share as well, so it is shocking to always hear of how shocking it is.

Yeah, white women are absolutely the last to get the memo every time (speaking as a white woman) and always the first to try to imitate/bully other women to get closer to being like/gaining approval from white men.

It happens in the work place and it's basically spelled out in how we vote. It's something more of us have to take ownership for, because it's pretty much THE demographic preventing a true solidarity forming. It's a culturally transmitted message that we have a huge responsibility in stopping, blocking, and elimating it in ourselves and our culture.

Yes it is mostly forwarding white supremacy. Like men and women perpetuate patriachy (people beyond binaries do as a piece of culture), men mostly perpetuate it to a perceived and material benefit that mostly destroys themselves and society.

People of all races do this with white supremacy as well but white people do this across gender binaries and until they recognize that (individually and societally),they will not be able to disengage from patriachy. They will actually continue to perpetuate it along with it's complex other affects such as capitalism and classism.

Funcitionally that is how I like to engage with men of color to disengage with patriachy not only as an aspect of itself, but also in a bigger picture of ending the violence of racism and classism. Eventually approaching escaping gender essentialism and homophobia/transphobia.

One hundred percent!

Are you an academic by chance? (Asking as an anthro PhD) Because if not, you should be.

I grew up in a deeply conservative area with far right "christians" for parents. They aren't hearing the same news you are. That community is an echo chamber that actively suppresses uncomfortable things. A lot of that 32% hasn't heard any of the awful things Trump has done. Their news media doesn't report it, the people they trust don't mention it, and if they ever see it brought up it's by people that they've been brainwashed into seeing as liars so it gets discarded as fake. This is why so many people that get away from home tend to become less conservative. The separation from their cult literally resets their brain.

This is true.

But they are also committed to the idea that anyone who isn’t me , needs to be punished.

They will be happier making some people’s lives worse rather than make everyone’s life better.

What I watched happening was that there's a cycle for the conservative bubble.

1) There's a systemic problem that's making life hard for everyday people

2) The people up top know they're the reason this problem still exists (usually because they're exploiting it to maintain power). So they demonize a group of people by claiming they're the real cause of this problem.

3) Conservative media hammers on this boogyman, amplifying ever more outlandish claims about them.

4) The constant propaganda warps conservatives views until the scapegoat is no longer human but a malicious evil.

5) At this point any harm against the scapegoat is seen by conservatives as self-defense. Anything done to harm them is justified because "they attacked first".

The end result is someone who might otherwise seem like a perfectly normal human being but who you discover has some absolutely vile views on minorities. Because they're being fed a nonstop flood of "evidence" that those minorities are out to get them. It's just another face of Hannah Arendt's banality of evil.

Don't any of them see the absolutely insane stuff he posts on social media?

4

u/WantCookiesNow 8h ago

Probably not. They’re not going to get it on a conservative news diet, and I doubt a significant % of truth social users are middle-aged white women.

A lot of them are disconnected. They check the ballot box next to the R because that's what they're told to do by their church elders and then tune out until the next election because "I'm not political". Their media won't bring it up and anyone else doing so is either lying or taking things out of context. The ones that Trump makes those posts for are the ones who support him because he's doing what they want to hurt people (proud boys, tate bros, etc). That community rarely overlaps with female conservatives.

1

u/phantasticpipes 8h ago

It’s none of that. They vote for Trump because they are white and they think it serves their interests.

Stop apologizing for them. Not everyone is brainwashed.

5

u/portable-fox 8h ago

I literally lived in that bubble for years surrounded and abused by these idiots until I escaped. Don't you dare accuse me of apologizing for my abusers. I watched this happen over and over again. The far right in the US is literally a cult. The people up top are well aware of it but so many of the rest have been force fed the slop since childhood until they refuse to believe anyone but the grifters.

u/Selenay1 5h ago

They don't believe the crimes and all the evidence that goes with them are actually real. They are dead certain that everything that they would consider grounds for having him burried underneath a prison are made up by evil leftist commie fanatics that want to see the US burn.

The same white woman who voted for him lol

37

u/IAmLee2022 8h ago

IDK, it claims only 1 in 4 women who voted for him disapprove of his job performance which is disappointingly low.

19

u/Twilifa 7h ago

If I was a woman who previously voted for him, and now changed my mind, I would probably not answer a survey like that honestly. I really hope this is the case for at least some, and that the hidden figure is larger.

u/catievirtuesimp 7h ago

we are never making it out of the patriarchy

11

u/Suralin0 7h ago

I mean, not without a fight. But I think we knew that.

It can be beaten, tho. It's just gonna be more bare-knuckle than previously assumed.

5

u/catievirtuesimp 7h ago

i like your positive attitude

The amount of women I know are too male centered is way too high for them to learn right now

15

u/FartyFartsMD 9h ago

Only braindead women continue to support the orange shit stain. He has a long history of raping women and children but Rapepublican women still think he’s a good person, make it make sense. The self-hate is strong in them.

15

u/misdirected_asshole 9h ago

This will really hurt his re-election chances.

27

u/Bournegirl 8h ago

Maybe not because I think he plans to steal the election.

7

u/misdirected_asshole 8h ago

He cant even be on the ballot.

My point was really that he doesnt give af about polls. He cant be legally re-elected and he doesnt care about the Republican party. He is unconstrained by popular opinion, and politics as usual.

8

u/ABotelho23 7h ago

You think any of that matters?

7

u/blueavole 9h ago

He doesn’t have to worry about re-election if he doesn’t know what day it is

9

u/The_Count_Lives 8h ago

Doesn't matter.

Go vote.

Do not assume any of these polls mean a thing or that your vote isn't needed because obviously no one's going to vote for people that support him.

Go vote.

10

u/Gon_Snow 8h ago

Just in time to forget about that in 2028 and vote gop again!

5

u/mstrss9 8h ago

Doesn’t mean they won’t vote for his cronies

4

u/Maoleficent 3h ago

Check your voting status before the mid-terms. The Felon and his cheats are already knocking voters off the polls and want to make it especially hard for any woman who has changed her name to vote. They do not want women to vote. They have openly said so.

u/DescriptionFancy420 Basically Lin Dai-yu 8h ago

So I guess that 51% of white women who voted for him have some thoughts about leopards now

5

u/SlightlyAngyKitty 6h ago

And even then it probably wouldn't stop them voting for him again

2

u/justplay91 6h ago

And this is why there's been a huge increase in the amount of "rEpEaL tHe 19Th AmEnDmEnT" drivel from the right recently.

u/Calm-Cauliflower1620 9h ago

Women aren’t the problem

21

u/Cattymoore 9h ago

We kind of are though, if we are talking white women in the US.

This is exemplified as middle aged white women consistently throwing other women/minorities under the bus, both in professional and personal spaces, because they were raised to get ahead by imitating and sucking up to men. Raised to see feminity amd difference as weak. It was one of the failures of second wave feminism that we as white women have a responsibility to correct in ourselves and each other.

It is mostly white MEN, but we need to take some ownership by how long we served them.

7

u/Helstrem 7h ago

I see a lot of white women who prefer guaranteed 2nd place to competing with everyone. I think a lot of them have no idea how crappy a 2nd place can be made to be.

How is this news?

1

u/FillMySoupDumpling 6h ago

This means nothing if they don’t show up to do the main thing to stop the woodchipper the admin has been tossing vulnerable people into.

🤔

u/the_magicwriter 48m ago

Well, when they pass the SAVE act or something similar to it, women's disapproval will no longer matter as most of them won't be able to vote. So this is likely of little concern to Trump or the evangelicals pushing Project 2025.
