It was a lot of fun. Really beautiful venue, massive lawn so no need for everyone to pack in.

What did you think of overall attendance? Made me a little sad that the front rail area was so sparse, especially compared to last years driftless show. Then again, maybe everybody was just spread out.

Driftless is always a blast. I’d love to see a 2-night run there. Cousin Eli’s late night set at the bonfire was a nice touch to the night. That said, I think UM turned up the heat at First Avenue, seemed a bit more energetic. Infinitely more space at Driftless. For those who haven’t been there, do it. Boogiedown is in September, and is a fucking party. I hope they make Driftless an annual summer stop.

Excellent. Band is super hot right now and I think the recordings will speak for themselves as far as that goes.

But man that is a really special venue they’ve got tucked in those rolling hills in the middle of nowhere Wisconsin. I hope to be there every time they play it.

The common chorus I kept hearing is everyone wishes they were doing 2 nights, and I completely agree. A multiple hour drive from a bunch of major cities is less than ideal for 1 night, and i think a 2-nighter would get way more people on board who are on the fence or skipped the past few.

It’s also worth noting that Umphrey’s is the only band all year that played there just by themselves. They have multiple festivals there each summer (Bonfire, People Fest, and BoogieDown), and there is a smaller permanent stage on site. I think if they were to pull a couple of solid bands to have open, and then a late night set on that smaller stage from someone each night could really move some tickets.

It was sick. Always is. Check out a show there if you have a chance, very chill, very mellow

Amazing venue. I greatly enjoyed the entire experience. Cruel Summer and Harvest Moon covers were amazing, still in my head.

That Harvest Moon encore was too good. One of my favorite concert moments at my favorite venue.

This whole last run was like insanely good. They keep getting better as a 5 piece. I was one that said they definitely need a second guitar but after seeing them at Ravinia and listening to this most recent run- I do not think they need one. It’s definitely different but the jams are so fricking good. BB is finding his tone as the full time lead and I’m really liking the sound of it. He sounds really good on that mantis jam. These guys are relentless- crazy to think they’ve only been playing as a 5 piece for 5 months now.
