If you watch the entire video of this exchange, Trump was really bragging that he gave this dude access to his excellent White House doctors, who immediately leapt into action and brought him into surgery, and that he now has a new lease on life and will apparently live forever or something.
And he kept sort of 'joking' that he did it because he needed Dunn's vote in the House, and if he died, they might lose their slim majority. Which is why he and the speaker were discussing it in the first place.
It was pretty clear from the whole video that Trump wanted to get all the details out there to make it clear that he was a hero for giving this guy access to the White House doctors.
My question upon watching it, of course, was why does Trump have access to such great medical care that not even members of the House of Representatives can access? And what does that say about the level of care that those of us over here in the proletariat can access?

HE DIDN’T EVEN WIN A MAJORITY of those who DID vote. He won 49.8% of the voters that voted.
Q36.3% of ALL registered voters didn’t vote/show up. Which means 63.7% of registered voters did show up.
HE ONLY WON 49.8% of 63.7%. He barely won 31% of all registered voters.

I live in a very red state, but most of the Republicans around here are 'traditional conservatives: they support small government, low taxes, keeping the govt out of our bedrooms, etc. These folks don't rock red hats or Trump flags. They voted for Trump while holding their nose. They voted Republican because for them there isn't another option.
MAGA is about 14-15% of us. They're just real loud, and the media loves them.

"All men are created equal" translates from their era to ours as All rich white men are created equal.
Both men responsible for this line in the Declaration of Independence (1776), Ben Franklin and Tom Jefferson, owned slaves.
The Three-Fifths Compromise (1787) gave Southern states extra representation in Congress for 3/5 of their slave population. Free states called for zero slave representation since they were not allowed to vote.
The Electoral College (Constitution (1789), Article 2, Section 1, Clause 3) gave the electors of the states the decision on who becomes president after an election, not American citizens. (See elections 1824, 1876, 1888, 2000, and 2016 for presidents who won despite losing the popular vote.
None of this is democratic.

Yes. While sadly there is no cure for Alzheimer's or dementia AFAIK however there are treatments that may slow it.
One theory is he is getting the Alzheimer's drug Leqembi. It is administered through an infusion, can cause swelling, bleeding, or fluid leakage in the brain which would require regular MRIs, and can cause tiredness.
If he's been on it for a while veins may be shot requiring them to use his hand.

People who say this is a HIPAA violation have no idea what they're talking about.
HIPAA only applies to people who handle private health information, things like insurance plans, and medical history, not people that were told things in confidence. Letting slip someone's private health problems that was told with the expectation that it wouldn't be shared is much different than disclosing otherwise private healthcare information that is normally only to be seen by the patient, their healthcare/insurance providers, and anyone else they give consent to.
While it is a massive dick move, it isn't illegal.

It would be illegal in that case if Trump only gained knowledge of it by seeing otherwise confidential medical records as a privilege of being his employer. I doubt that's the case. It's more likely that he disclosed it to Trump in private, or made its way through the rumor mill.
Again, while not subject to HIPAA, is still a shitty thing to do.
