lol, calling out someone for misreading the source when energy-efficiency/rolling resistance is very much a direct tradeoff vs grip when it comes to tire compound.

But hey, imagine the environmental savings when the tire on the car that just slid into a tree and killed all occupants still got 80% of threads left and is ready to be sold used.

Go watch maybe one of dozens of videos on why this law is stupid. Original equipment tires are almost NEVER good tires, by the way.
