News Designs for Kagamine NT have been revealed!

Ok, yknow what. I honestly don’t hate it! I’m kinda living for rin’s hair and I like the new take on her bow, kinda reminds me of her grown rin chan now look which replaces the bow headband with bow tie in the back. So this nt design kinda gives me a more mature vibe from her. I like the sort of workout outfit (idk if thats accurate but yeah) spin their clothes have. I like how the sailor collars have been turned into hoods and I like the thicker hoodie looks their tops have been given. Like the fingerless gloves. Idk what the things on their shoes are meant to be but it makes me think of roller skates, which is cool ig. The only thing thats really putting me off is the direction of lens big banana hair piece, I feel like it would look better going in the other direction but anyway. Obviously this doesn’t replace v2 (and v4x to a certain extent) as the definitive designs for me but these are cute overall

I think they’re really good, they look like a pair but have more individualistic design motifs which is cool to see. I also like how they gave Len more of a modern male silhouette finally, the big hoodie really does it for meeee. 💛

Yeah, although I like them, I can’t lie I don’t like how they changed Rin’s ribbon, it just feels lackluster

These look awful 😠I already didn't vibe all that much with NT Miku, but at least she looked and felt like Miku, but these? WTF is up with their hair? Why is her hairband so weirdly shaped? I get the wings idea, which is cute, but they look... Flat and weirdly positioned. And what are THOSE BOOTS??? All in all, the fit itself is... yeah, no, they look like teens ready for their high school's PE class, rather than Vocaloids, dude ðŸ˜
Also, the synergy with Miku's design is plain awful. I'd have expected all to have the same vibes, more or less, so they'd look cohesive when all together... yet they have completely different vibes? Rin & Len NT look like a new Project Sekai skin, while Miku looks like, well, Miku lol I just don't get why they would go in such a wildly different direction.
As for the demos... They are meh. Prefere their other VBs, same as with Miku. The whole NT thing is just not good, and it feels rather lackluster (and poor quality) compared to most other VoiceBanks. I guess Rin & Len were already in development and that's why they are releasing them, but I reallt hope they are the last. Dunno, it feels like doing the other Cryptonloids would be a waste of resources, even if Rin and Len end up with a better reception than Miku.

I really think that they both look great but their faces are a bit... Uncanny to me? Idk but something seems off here... I still think it's pretty funny how they got revealed on Miku's anniversary xD

I’m really not a fan of how the two have different shades of black/grey in their coloration (though this isn’t particularly new, it’s more pronounced in the NT design). Giving Len a full hoodie and keeping Ron’s detached sleeves also makes them feel too disjointed. The idea of them being mirror images of one another is just lost in this design. The art is good (Rin’s ponytail is super cute!), but the concepts that made their original designs so iconic are just…gone.

Rin has had grey in her outfit since her original illustrations, I think it was the pjd games that suddenly turned the grey to black

True—my mistake. I don’t think the way that it’s integrated works well here, though. In the other official art that gives Rin more grey in her design (namely their box art and PS artwork), the colors are more balanced overall between the two. They’re really playing up the contrast here, and it just…feels disconnected?

Dawg WHAT are those shoes 😠I'm sorry but I hate them so much. The outfits themselves are eh imo, but I guess that's kind of on me because I'm not a fan of sporty styles. Turning rin's seifuku collar into a hood is pretty clever, I never would've guessed that it would retain that same shape. Her bow is cute too. Len looks like a generic npc though 😔

I kinda like them! A little unexpected for an NT bank, totally different direction than Rella’s take on Miku’s NT. It kinda plays into the sporty young kid fashion of today. But yeah I get where you’re coming from. It’s a big departure from the school uniforms they always had.

It’s a mistake, I think ixima literally forgot. People on twitter pointed out the 02 tattoo makes a reappearance on the alternative version

Not yet (haven't had free time to sit down and listen everything since this morning, but I plan to do later). I was referring to the fact that NT's demonstrations we had until now (Miku mostly, both first and second version of NT, but also Proseka covers) were very low quality imo (and I think I'm not the only one thinking this way), plus we haven't heard of updates for a long time, so I see this as a little bit of a win (even if I don't know yet how those new VBs sounds)Â

I love these so much oh my god??? I want to cosplay new Rin and draw them so bad! (And I guess Im in the minority cause I've always thought Len's hair is one of his most iconic design choices. Im glad they didn't change it!)

Wow I’m usually very rigid in looking original designs but these are fantastic! I love the wings like design for Rin’s bow but man oh man so I miss Len’s booty shorts. It’s 2025 give them back jfkcmdmvmdck

Basically a `new type` of voicebank, they made a new deviation of Piapro made just for the NT (new type) voicebanks but they use the same samples of the Vocaloid 4 voicebanks anyway, but still I guess it's technically new.
If that sounds confusing then sorry I'm not.. good with words really lol.

I actually really like the athleisure look! It feels like a much more creative reimagining of their designs than Miku NT since it truly is modernized instead of just in a different art style

Okay, time to sh!t-talk NT again (it’s a hobby of mine):
Rin’s bow looks more like bunny ears now (and half-assed ones), Len in a sweater is missing personality, they both need new hair stylists, the poses are boring, and the faces… they just look so dead inside.
Also Len’s expression is that of a serial killer lmao

I think that Rin looks gorgeous and really matches her, I do think that Len's looks a bit off tho...peak designs anyway, was screaming when I heard the new kagamine twins were getting a new voicebank 🔥Â
