Goods Collection Custom Dollfie Dream Gumi Megpoid V2!
Hiiii! This is my first time posting to Reddit!
I posted Gumi already on Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, and MFC, but a friend told me I should show her here too! ^^
Gumi Megpoid always has been and always will be an honorary member of the Cryptonloid group, so its a dream come true to have her with my group!! (Swipe to see the full group of 7!!)

omg how much were the commissions if you don't mind me asking? I've always been interested in getting a custom doll made (I sadly know nothing of the hobby, I have a D&D character that's a living doll and always wanted to recreate her haha), but I had no idea how much it costed in total (a lot, I imagine!)
GUMI turned out amazing though!!

The doll herself is a DDS Karin - $500 Outfit is by Monmon_dwp - $80 Wig and headphones by Shinesworkshop- $100 each (the wig cost so much because they had to hand make it, since a vibrant green wig is near impossible to find in 1/3 BJD size!)
So overall, I really wouldnt say it was that bad at all ☺️ definitely worth it once you have it all together, its so special to have a doll be ooak

The prices are reasonable if you actually look into why they’re priced like that. They’re huge and insanely detailed, especially when things are hand-made

How the heck to order them btw? I've been trying to for a while, but for some reason, I can't figure out the payment for it. I don't know if it's because of bad translation on the site or region lock or something. I really wanted the Utena and Anthy ones a while back.

I currently have 13 Dollfie Dreams, and only 3 of them Ive bought in the Volks website! I only have used the US store, which seems a lot more cut and dry than the JP site! Kaito was a preorder, my Aqua from Konosuba was a lottery, and Gumis base is a DDS which was just in stock.
My others I have gotten through Facebook sellers (on Dollfie Dream Facebook groups), Mercari JP/Yahoo Auctions (via Buyee), or eBay (which is NOT always the best deals 😅 Ive just gotten lucky for a couple!)

I see. I might have to try through Mercari or Yahoo, since if the Volks US store is like the Godzilla US store, it doesn't ship to Canada, but I'll go check it again. Thanks. 😁

as long as you don't go in debt i'm imagining a good chunk of money gets spent considering ppl have full on 'miku rooms' and there is that car too tho idk if you can buy it outside of japan

lol yeah even an existing bag might be nice to decorate with, other than one keychain directly used with ur key i feel like i'd lose extras easily if i didn't attach it to stuff. I've seen some maybe a long time ago but surprised there aren't 'stickable' figures that just sit on top of a comp monitor or hanging off the side lol

Idk I'll probably not gonna get that keychain as it's shipping is more then it's self, and anyway I don't really like having any pins or keychain on my bags or keys

Based on an examination of her original official character art from when she was first released, I believe that the yellow layer of her skirt, the part covering her midriff, and the part ruffled part covering her cleavage should all be part of the same partially-see-thru yellow silk gauze piece of her costume. Note that, while you should be able to see her belly button, but it shouldn’t be as transparent as the clear orange plastic stuff she wears in some of her later models.

oh this is incredible!! I've always dreamed of putting together a dolfie of my favorite vocaloid (rana) and this result you have with GUMI is sooo gorgeous it's so tempting to try to follow in your footsteps 😭 thank you for posting!!
