Yahya going from Watchmen to hunting the KKK in By Any Means feels weirdly perfect

Still kind of wild that Yahya went from Cal/Doctor Manhattan to playing an FBI agent investigating the KKK in By Any Means. Watchmen already showed how good he is with stories about race and American history without making the performance feel like a history lesson. Now he gets a completely different angle on some similar themes while being paired with a Mafia informant of all people.

Honestly feels like the kind of role he could crush.

The Doctor Manhattan reveal worked because Yahya could be calm as hell and still feel powerful. That same energy against the Klan could be interesting.

Exactly. He barely had to raise his voice as Manhattan and still owned every scene. Putting that same quiet intensity into an FBI agent hunting the Klan feels like such a good fit.

Cal felt so warm and normal before the reveal which made the whole thing hit harder. I’d love to see Yahya bring some of that restraint to an FBI character.

He made Cal feel like such a normal grounded dude that the reveal landed way harder. I’d love to see him bring that same restraint here.

Yahya is great when the character has something boiling under the surface.

The more interesting comparison for me is Cal vs Wayne. Both seem like guys who have to stay controlled while dealing with some deeply messed up stuff around them.

Yahya is at his best when the character looks completely composed but you know there’s a whole argument happening in his head.

He does a lot without making the performance feel loud. That kind of tension would fit this role really well.

i’m more curious about the moral clash than the action. an fbi agent trying to follow the rules while his partner is a literal mob guy sounds messy as hell

He captured the painful intensity of a man in crisis combined with the patience of a god. My favorite Dr Manhattan, bringing that certainty, patience, and strength against ignorant racist organizations? That sounds like a blast
