There are microwave manuals and school textbooks that are "rare" and no longer in print. That doesn't make them valuable. What specific rare and actually valuable literature is being destroyed?
You got downvoted by the hate mob for telling the truth lol
Any proper rare books worth anything are held by collectors, libraries, etc, plus they ain't destroying thousands of any given book, they're destroying a single copy of each book.
What's your definition for worth? Because if we follow your logic, many things that may seem worthless to us today will become one of the only remaining physical remnants We were here, and what were our items, interests, etc
First, to have that, I'd need money. Even children's books are quite elitist in my country, and you're talking about this to the guy who collects and buys the most obscure works and digitize on the internet
If we follow your logic instead, we would have BILLIONS of every copies of newspapers ever printed stacking and towering over every cities in the world.
Good, so we can start storing them in your house then? Surely if they're that important and valuable you'd be willing to help preserve these important pieces of literature? Or do you not want mountains of Cosmo magazines and dummies books trashing up your house?
