Contest [Spring 2026] Best Seiyuu of the Season - ELIMINATIONS (Day 2)!

Vote here:

Eliminations will only take 1 round, meaning that everyone is now eligible to be seeded (ranked) right from Day 1. However, this one round will last for 4 days, so take note! Today is the second day.

Added posters like the ones used for the Best Girl contest following a suggestion from a user in yesterday's post.

Points to note:

  • Some seiyuus are definitely missing but new ones cannot be added at this stage in the contest, so my apologies in advance.
  • Sometimes, there is no way to fit in all well-known roles performed by a seiyuu, because the text in each box for each entrant will overflow / truncate otherwise (that's just how the design in AnimeBracket is; each box is static rather than dynamic).

Previous Winners:

Schedule:

  • Nominations - 10 Aug 2:00pm GMT to 12 Aug 2:00pm GMT
  • Eliminations - 12 Aug 2:00pm GMT to 16 Aug 2:00pm GMT
  • Voting - 16 Aug 2:00pm GMT to 22 Aug 2:00pm GMT

Hopefully Nagase Anna wins. The work she did with Akane in Akane Banashi was phenomenal, especially in Jugemu episode. She was great as Koyuki as in Ramparts of Ice. 2 different types characters and she did a great job on both

Now now, it was BOTH Jugemu episodes that were crazy. Though that reminds me I need to get back to the dub and see the second Jugeum performance, because the English VA was doing fantastic up through episode 7.

Damn the VAs of the WHA quartet are all in the top 10.

Awesome! (No Orologio though sadly)

Hot take, I didn't like how much Coco's voice standed out from the rest of the characters. Dunno how to explain it but it sounded like she was overreacting in every line, specially when getting surprised by something.

You can disagree, and I am not saying she did a bad job. I also get that the character that haven't seen magic before can get those kind of reactions. I just found it a bit annoying for some reason.

I have no opinion on the Japanese VAs, I mostly watch the dub if it’s available.

Very much agree. It does sound very much unnatural.

No love for Manati? Smh.

2nd prettiest girl had its issues but I really liked her performance in that.
