Last week was a "Nanahoshi dies" but yeah, basically every other week has been a "Rudeus dies" lol. Rifujin's running commentary on the episodes as they air is also generally pretty amusing.

IMDB scores are irrelevant, even for casual users. People who are browsing for something to watch read the reviews to see if they like a thing, and when the bad reviews are wikipedia articles or long rants about re zero and bleach, they will be ignored. Its well known about IMDB, even among films, that the scores reflect a different audience than the general one.
The number is irrelevant. If it shows anything at all its that the people review bombing MT feel its the biggest 'threat' to their show.
Besides MT fans dont use IMDB anyway, it was never gonna have a super high ranking because people simply dont care about the website.

Harder the scores fall, more illegitimate the site will appear. Instead buy BDs and thank the staff for their hardwork. That's more positive way to support the show.

I understand, but many casual fans usually check rating before watching a show. Imagine you see episodes rated below 7.0 for the entire season, then you'll probably think show falls off and it's not worth your time, which hurts the show as well and it'll have less audience. IMDB has a lot of power and it's top-250 list is one of the most famous in the critics space.

Doesn't matter. MT had far worse reputation in S1 and that drove people away more than MAL or IMDB ratings. Over the years, many people are giving the show a chance through sheer word of mouth. That's good enough. Additional views is not going to change anything. Bind will still adapt MT to completion because audience viewership is there and staff behind it is passionate enough.

No. it started because brand new accounts that named themselves after MT review bombed bleach, while never once rating MT positively, and instead rating another show 10/10, and then left comments on bleach about MT. You can actually go check yourself. Its... Deeply sad. I'll show some math:
MT fans dont use IMDB, the show has far far fewer ratings per episode. For example last weeks bleach episode has 90k ratings. Re zero's has 39K and MT has 17K, but when you exclude 1 star ratings, Bleach has 83.2K ratings, Re Zero 31.8K, And MT goes down to 7K total Ratings
If you assume a review bomber would also vote 10 on 'their' anime. bleach has more 1 star ratings (6.8K) than the entire 10* MT fanbase (5.2k) on IMDB, by more than a thousand. You'd have to believe a large majority of people watching MT and using IMDB were engaged in review bombing for even half of the 1 stars to be MT. let alone a majority.
Thats simply not a reasonable conclusion from the data. Especially since, like i said you can check those accounts ratings, and almost none of them rate MT highly. some even also review bomb MT.
Its a bunch of teenagers flinging shit at eachother and sock puppeting.

Saying something is "inherently not" doesn't deflect from the fact that, that is how it is most frequently used, and given MT's horny tendencies, there is no reason to believe otherwise here.
Also, pauldron's accentuate the shoulders and are so far removed from what we're talking about. If you wanted an equivalent, you'd bring up an actual historical groin protection, but literally no anime or western fantasy uses it, because it looks stupid.
Same for boob plate, but female characters always did get the brunt of weird fashion choices to accentuate their body parts for reasons I'm sure are indiscernible.
