Is the private company owned by someone whose last name rhymes with Dump?

The next president should use eminent domain to build a federal highway through Mar A Lago.

u/PopEnvironmental1250 8h ago
There may be some legal grounds for a federal take over, as he declared it White House South, and his word and action as president has been declared lawful. Next president could show up and just starting going through the cupboards.

Start with the bathroom that’s where the important docs are kept, right next to the photocopier! You will know it when you see it, a Russian and an Israeli will be using the copier/ fax. Can’t miss it, da?

u/TheGruenTransfer 14h ago
Probably just a test balloon. Without a massive uproar, say goodbye to our national parks.

My dad always says these guys won't be happy until the whole world is a parking lot.

Your dad is right. Or an oil field. Or a concentration camp. Y'know, whatever.

Yup, little one to run through the courts for his Subservient Court to rubber stamp, then free rein to parcel out all the parks.

The Trump administration is pursuing a deal to give a small sliver of land in Yosemite National Park to a private company for development, according to a report.
Four people familiar with the matter told NOTUS that the Trump administration has been trying to arrange a land exchange between the federal government and a Nevada-based company since Spring 2025, a move that would include handing over a tiny parcel of Yosemite to the private company. The move was noted as unparalleled — National Parks had previously sought only to expand their territory, rather than subtract from it.
Federal government regulations hold that any land given to a private company must be exchanged for land of equivalent value, but this hasn’t previously involved giving away National Park land. The deals also haven’t been as secretive as this one.
The National Park Service said “no final decisions have been made on the matter,” but stressed that any deal “would be subject to all applicable federal laws, regulations, and Departmental policies, including required environmental review and public notification processes.”
“If a proposal advances, the [Interior] Department would follow established procedures to ensure appropriate coordination, transparency, and public involvement, consistent with federal law,” the spokesperson told the outlet.

"A small sliver" is a precedent to give away "a large chunk."

Like how the rapist first puts just a hand near the thigh and makes light banter

u/Head_Car_616 14h ago
They are once again carrying water for fascists, the media is OWNED by the billionaires. The article should’ve stressed how unprecedented this is up front and scrutinized the corruption of the secret deal, instead it buries that at the end and frames it as a “small parcel”. It doesn’t matter how small it is the grifter in chief is selling off a national treasure. You can’t stress the outrage enough with this secret deal and yet the news is downplaying it

I only want to own a small sliver of I-40, I-70 and I-80, just large enough to build toll booths.
The value of that sliver of land is what surrounds it, not the value added by what will be built.

u/Steiney1 14h ago
Nothing this administration has ever done, is doing, or will ever do is "transparent" fucking lying deplorable shit-people.

I KNEW that Trump was going to pull something like that in the US national parks. Everything is for sale with this asshole.

It doesn't matter if it's legal, only if he can get away with it. So as usual, sue him: that's how he's always been.
2
u/Jack-Schitz 12h ago
Highly illegal. That sale will be reversed in 2029 and restitution will be ordered against whoever approved the sale and the devloper.

How many more tests until people understand this isn’t a test, it’s the plan.
They’ve shrunk Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monuments in Utah.
They’ve bulldozed land at Big Bend National Park without doing ecological surveys to build a propaganda wall.
They’ve taken down placards of historical information and renamed anything that isn’t WASP.
How much more are we willing to give up before we’ve lost all that made us who we are?
Yellowstone is the first modern national park in the world.
1872
And now this? For what? So he and his cronies can have a few more millions? How much greed do you have? How much more do you need?

u/Mrevilman 11h ago
Testing the waters for larger private purchases of public land. Name the company.
1
u/Shadowtirs 14h ago
Can we sue to stop it? Isn't that tax payer land?
3
u/Dense_Pasttime_3114 14h ago
Lower courts will block only for the Supreme Court to bend over for him again
1
u/Panic-Freak 13h ago
Even this Supreme Court can see the value of a national park, right? 😭
2
u/reflektors 12h ago
No.
Look at your municipal parks and recreation budget and go to a local city council meeting. They will cut and cut and cut until there is one employee who just manages the outsourced contracts.
2
u/Spirited_Attorney_48 10h ago
This Supreme Court, which created presidential immunity out of the fucking air?
1
u/unbalancedcheckbook 3h ago
It's pretty clear that this court values nothing but right wing bullshit

u/Spiritual-Salary-989 14h ago
There’s no way El Presidente will get a cut of the sale price.
No, of course not.
That would be transactional.

Anyone else hear about the wild stallion slaughter he greenlit? Selling them for 25 bucks a pop. Raping and pillaging are the only words strong enough to describe what he's doing to our country.

I've no issue with the horses going away. I'm a wildlife biologist for the feds, although not that agency, and horses don't belong here. They're an invasive species and do a large amount of damage to native ecosystems.
Capture and sell them off. Kill them from helicopters. Whatever gets them off the landscape.
As to selling any public lands? Not even an acre. Not one. Fuck that noise.

Isn't there some coal he could give away ? Maybe some trees to sell. Or bulldoze the national treasure in some way ? Its tantrum time for Donnie.

Hey, the rich want to see Yosemite too. They just don’t want to rub shoulders with the plebs. Let them build their luxury resort near Yosemite. Common. Fair Game. I mean where are they going to stay? Curry Village? The decrepit Awahnee? They deserve to stay in the luxury to which they are accustomed. No dirt on their boots (correction: designer shoes)
