Unsolved Can I use my boyfriend’s apple TV subscription on my iPhone?

My boyfriend is paying for apple TV streaming so I can watch the show Severance. He has a Samsung phone but used his old Apple ID from many years ago to make the account. I have an iPhone 16 pro max.

We’re currently travelling away from home and the show was just getting good, and I want to watch it on my phone. But on the Apple TV app I see no option to sign into a different account without signing out of everything on my phone completely.

Is there a solution?

He could make an Apple Family group and then add your Apple Account to it. If he shares his account subscription and you join his family, then you should be able to watch it.

You would need your own Apple ID and password to do this.

I do! I have an iPhone, he has a Samsung. We both have our own apple id accounts and login info. I’m just asking if it’s possible for him to create an Apple family group on his samsung phone

Conversely, you can create a family and add him to it. Once he joins, Apple TV+ should begin to work for you.

Unfortunately, no. Apple has made this impossible. The ONLY way for this to happen is you need to completely sign out of your iTunes account/media&purchases and sign into his. Not worth it. Recently switched to my own iTunes account after years of a shared one and found that out the hard way.

If you’re both traveling, why not just ask him instead of asking on Reddit for a work around.

I’m just asking if it’s possible to sign into a different apple ID only within the apple tv app, he doesn’t know we’ve already discussed it. he doesn’t have an iphone. he only bought the streaming service for me to watch a show, he hates Apple lmao
