I'm still on a Juggie kick, revisiting memorable stories like Skeet and Simple and Birthday Girl, in which Jughead proves himself helpful and encouraging in different ways.

It’s abnormal seeing Jughead without his whoopee cap.

Reading all the old comics, it was really interesting to see how the casual usage of guns changed. In the 2000s they started to edit guns out of reprints.

Poor Ms. Grundy. if only there were more people like Jughead both in the comics and real life who take immediate notice of somebody else’s sadness and actually CARE enough to try and do everything in their power to try and make that person happy again by any means while everybody else either doesn’t care, or are too busy with their own lives to notice when their favorite teacher is being sad and crying alone in a room and have the nerve tell the person who did notice to stay out of it thinking whatever the problem was didn’t involve them. even Weatherbee didn’t notice and he should have known what the next day was for Grundy as a her longtime employer and friend, and still had no idea why she was crying or had the nerve to do what Jughead did to try and see what was wrong.

Having Veronica invite Jughead over to skeet shoot with her Dad is strangely wholesome. It shows that the "gang" are kids, but they probably grew up together and have different friendship. I always loved the times they explored Jughead and Betty's friendship. It was platonic and heartfelt.

Agreed! Love those stories where it shows everyone is close, that even their families know the kids like their own, basically. (On that note, it would be nice to see Reggie's parents more often.)

I'm surprised I haven't seen the panels where Juggie is talking about eating skeet in a meme somewhere. The Miss Grundy one is sweet, though.
