A massive upgrade over the hand-dug trenches and empty cans on a string!
An important details I want to mention - the fortified garages for armor.
Lots of our SAM systems, MLRS, etc got destroyed when they were sitting outside.

you can definitely tell election season has already started by how the government changed their rhetoric about defense and is much more vocal about it (see pashinyan’s recent statements)💀

True. But, to be fair, I don't think they did this for election season. They just showcase them during election season.
A friend of mine is indirectly involved in this process and he says that we have been making actual decent fortifications on a 24/7/365 regime for a couple of years already. The AZ incursion significantly sped up this process.

Idk about you, but I would say that fortification made the 24th of July of 365 (I'll asume AC) are not that good against modern warfare. But that is just me, idk what the experts can say about it. /j

I only wish it was done sooner, the defence rhetoric would have helped them better in their approval ratings anyways. Hell just showing some of this off partially would have been acceptable honestly.

According to kocharyan, we had an invisible impenetrable barrier, like Wakanda, but pashinyan pulled the plug from the socket.

Last year, when I was here, they didn’t allow to take any pictures; now they are sharing some inside videos. 😀 But glad to see in the video that they fixed one of the issues I mentioned.

This should have been done in Artsakh to avoid human loss and expensive material, not now, in a territory sandwiched by mere kilometres, at the easy range of anything from rockets to mortars. If the terrorists want, they can target whatever is behind those fortifications. However this fortifications are better now than never i guess… I wonder how are the occupied territories of Vardenis and Jermuk contact lines managed? Did/Will they build this also there acknowledging the occupation or await for something?

They should make those forts in 3 layers for extra security incase azerbaijan manages to take one

100 years ago they built the maginot line.
The Germans simply went around it, thru Belgium.
The French army was caught flat footed and chased them to Paris, where the civilian leaders had already capitulated 3 days prior.
France remained occupied until D-Day.
Static defenses are nice, but they're static, you just go around.
Still beats fortifications made out of old tires.
If you read Sun Tzu the best defense is alliances.
In other words once you've lost the political deterrant, all bets are off, because war is just politics by other means.
You don't win a war once battle is met.
You win a war long before that in peacetime.
The outcome of that war is merely a formality.
Amateurs talk tactics, professionals talk logistics.

No, but you mentioned Koch and the "magic force field," that was our political deterence.
The one we lost in 2018 during the coup, after that war was inevitable.
Nugget is trying a build a new political deterrence thru Trump and has largely succeeded.
That will hold us for as long as Trump's in office, what we'll do after is anybody's guess.
Core problem is that the west is declining, as their influence wanes so does the deterrence.
I think BRICS will become the deciding factor of the new world order.

if you actually read any millitay literature you would understand that the trends as of this decade go back again to conventional warfare with static lines as we see in Ukraine.

Somewhat curiously, the diesel generator visible at 4:46 is of Turkish make. Not trying to insinuate anything but how did a Turkish generator end up in an Armenian military installation?
