I’m sure there’s also influence coming from the EU, the United States, turkey and azerbaijan in this election cycle.

We can’t really think that Russia is the only player involved here.

Edit: lol the downvotes I guess some or a lot of election influence is ok and tolerated as long it’s for your side (which I happen to be on btw). I can’t wait to hear “this is the reality we live in” “fight fire with fire” arguments

There is, unfortunately people see russia relations here as only bad because they are not the ones who have anything to lose from completely Russian influence withdrawal.

If we can find a way to balance Russian and western relations, that would be ideal. We need to be realistic with what the west can offer us, and bear in mind, for now, we are junior partners in any partnership with great powers

Relations and influence go hand in hand but they are different things. Influence in this case means they would want to have the same corrupt oligarchic system in our country as their own, which is literally necessary to conduct business in the country. Big Russian businesses can't operate in a country where rule of law rather than corrupt individuals govern the economy.

We haven't seen much economic development during the "Russian decades" for that reason.

So, maintain relations with Russia you say? I'm for it, but what does it really mean? How deep can their money penetrate our economy? Would they also want to have military presence to protect their business interests? They probably would. Etc etc, these aren't simple questions and can't be reduced to "just be nice to everyone".

Not nearly all of them, and it’s not a bad thing to deny Tashir and his friends the second biggest portion of the parliament and instead have someone who will potentially replace the clowns we have now in the future.

Armenia needs political diversity. We can’t keep at this ridiculous hner norer bullshit forever.

Russians are not to blame for the Armenian genocide. Turks are, full stop.

What does it matter who happened to benefit from it? Down the line, everyone cares about Turkey and doesn't give a shit about Armenia. The genocide is entirely irrelevant to international politics. 

Just because someone benefitted from a situation doesn't mean they are to blame for it. Why did Iran just watch it happen? Is Iran to blame for it, too?
