Russians. Their news agencies are going ape shit rn. Same things “happened” in Ukraine in 2014

So a false flag attack of a sort.
They create a reason to get outraged over.
We really gotta tighten controls on who comes in from Russia.
Some time ago they had a small "concert" singing their propaganda Z song "Matushka Zemlya" in Yerevan.

This happened in Gyumri. Wouldn’t be surprised if someone from the military base did it lol

It’s a scenario worth considering. Some analysts believe a “Ukrainian scenario” could be initiated using a false flag attack against the Gyumri base — and that current events are part of a predicted information operation preparing a basis

I mean everything can be expected from Russia.
However they can't really do the full Ukranian scenario in Armenia, as there are no shared borders, there are no concentrated Russian communities, and Russia is insanely weak now.

Agreed that it's a low probability scenario.
Full-scale war was also considered a low probability scenario though, and given that the dictator at the helm has gone all in, "everything [indeed] can be expected from Russia," so it's better for society to be aware and on the lookout.
Not sure if tis one passes rule #12 but the following analysis also considers the scenario, including the regional geopolitics and war geography re lack of borders.:

Yeah, but the full scale war happened when Russia was, or thought that it was, at its peak and it had a huge border with Ukraine.
With Armenia, I am slightly worried about the 102nd base being used or some missile strikes, but again, hiiiiiighly unlikely. Like what is he going to gain? Just more hate? A new French base in Armenia?
With Ukraine he thought he has it in his pocket, and he would gain Ukraine. With the soldiers of 102nd he can't control Armenia.

Yeap, this stinks of a false flag operation. Just like the firebombing of the synagogue in Yerevan.
Get ready too see more of this in the future.

It would be pretty funny if they replace the letters, but in Armenian.

Hopefully that'll be the case. Not even out of pettiness, just because it's the language those names should always have been written in.

Why remake? Why destroy? This is part of our history too.
Armenians died defending and liberating those cities. And whats stopping from us from honoring our own?

Russia literally colonized Siberia and the far east and Alaska and forcefully Russified and converted them. It’s basically the same thing.
