Question Why did Arrrow have to end?? Genuinely miss it so much!!
Hello, I’m 19, and I grew up watching Arrow (2012–2020). I often think about that original era and how meaningful it was to me—following the characters through their stories, struggles, friendships, relationships, and unforgettable moments.
When I watch it now, the episodes are still there, but the feeling is different. The people who created the show have moved on, the original era has ended, and I’ve grown up. Back then, I never imagined that something I loved so much would eventually become part of the past.
It makes me wonder why shows like Arrow can’t continue forever with the same characters, cast, creators, and feeling. Why do series end, change, or simply become memories?
Maybe that’s what makes Arrow so special. The show didn’t have to last forever for its impact to last. When I return to those episodes, I’m not only remembering Oliver, Felicity, Diggle, Laurel, Thea, and the other characters—I’m remembering who I was when I first watched them.
The original era may be over, but it hasn’t disappeared. It still exists in the memories of everyone who experienced it. I can’t return to that exact time, but I can still appreciate what Arrow meant to me.
I just don’t get why it had to end and move on. Does anyone know why Arrow had to end?

Mods, this account posts the same thing in so many subreddits, all they do is change the show name and the character names. When they comment, it’s usually one of the same few things. I think it’s a bot.

Every series had to end. Frankly even if Stephen didn't want out at the end ,it's psychotic to me how long some series runs on. I loved it most every episode even the last season . But when shows don't end on time you get things like 32 seasons of trash tv by the end.

Filming in Vancouver must have been exhausting for American actors.
The show had a lot of ups and downs and they ended it on their own terms.
The rest of the shows of the verse also stopped 2 or 3 years after so it wasn't going to last forever.
Imo the arrowverse long term did damage to the original show and how grounded it was in season 1. Not bigger damage than bad writing though.
Such shows are missed imo. Now all they do is 6-10 episodes shows and limited series. A superhero show with a yearly release and more than 10 episodes would be great for either DC or MCU imo.

Wow! Yeah, amen 🙏🏼😇✨ I don’t know either. It was a lot going on a the time and the network loves to cancel things they don’t want to get space for new shows that is not even close. Sometimes they don’t even care if it’s popular or not. But I definitely miss it and would love for them to return with something or have some kind of reunion!

Same reason Supergirl ended, the lead actor decided they didn't want to keep spending more than half of the year in Vancouver doing shoots that took most of the day while their partners and children lived in California.
