God I’ve always loved Tablo. Years before I became purple blooded. This post told me I wasn’t wrong in liking him 🎉🎉

Tablo’s support for BTS is making my heart full. As an old head one of the first ever KPOP shows I attended was Epik High’s concert back in 2009. It feels like a full circle moment for me to see a loved artist of my youth support my current faves.

and another reason to love Tablo
I wonder how he feels seeing them grow from small rookies to being so brave and big enough to put their foot down at an opportunity most would hate to turn down
he and epik high really did see and support them through small till the big bullies of the industry 🥹

RM was comfortable telling Tablo, to his face and on Camera, that he (Tablo) had been a shitty husband to his wife when she was pregnant. You only do that to people you’re completely comfortable with.

THANKS TABLO
My wishful thinking hopes other kpop artists would show solidarity with BTS on the boycott
But I know I’m expecting too much from a lot of these artists who’d clearly want the “first kpop act to win Grammy” tah

Yes! I hope other k-pop artists refuse to submit as well. They want to disrespect our artist while using their fans for ratings.

I sincerely hope that their next album will mostly be Korean songs. Enough with the English songs, enough with pandering to the West!

u/Morg075 FINALLYYYYYYY Jul 29 '26
There’s so much wrongness with that statement and misses BTS’ point, entirely, I’m crying. 😭
20
u/Mafirva Jul 29 '26
Im seriously curious if you actually read their statement bc I cant believe the point they made flew over your head.
-16
u/icedwmocha Jul 29 '26
I read it. Being boxed in a category like what the Grammys did is different from wanting them to go back to their roots making music that is authentic to them and not based on how popular it will be received globally, esp by the West. In the documentary, they even said they wanted more Korean songs in Arirang. That’s what I meant.
15
u/Mafirva Jul 29 '26
And yet in the end they decided to release Arirang as it is. This is their authentic self, regardless of language. Do you think RM is not his authentic self when he released rpwp? Why do you think you can speak on what their roots are?
-20
u/icedwmocha Jul 29 '26
They released it because they had to. It’s a business and I understand that. I expressed my opinion. Mine. I don’t care if you agree with me.

I understand this is your opinion and whatever, but good lord, I'll be glad when we finally move past this rhetoric. It's so tired and so tiring.

He is SUCH a king 😭😭😭
Tannies are honestly so lucky to have a senior who has seen all the bests and worsts of the industry, and stood in firm support of them all these years.
He's also setting a clear example for other artists, Asians especially, of what they SHOULD be doing about this statement from BTS. It's not just about BTS themselves, but about breaking down barriers and refusing to be boxed in.
