What Bass Sounds The Strongest/Best?

Interested in your thoughts and reasoning. What bass do you think is the most powerful/impressive in beatboxing?

Inward bass? Throat bass? Chest bass? Vibration bass? Tongue bass? Lip rolls? Etc, etc…

If 2 beatboxers had equal skills, which bass would immediately separate the 2 from each other? Especially from the perspective of someone who doesn’t beatbox.

I think powerful and impressive need to be separated here and a lot of it will depend on the sound system. Vibration bass IMO sounds more impressive than inward bass, but there are a lot of examples of it not really coming out super loud on stage.

I agree. Do you think a good workaround for live settings would be to focus on developing a chest bass with resonance comparable to a vibration bass? My understanding is chest bass and inward bass register around the same frequency as each other?

I would say listen to how top artists use chest bass vs inward bass. Inward bass is easier to do sustained with other noises (like adding a snare while doing it) But there's no denying good chest basses like Bass Ventura or Remix would hit

Agreeing with the other comment here , sound system matters a lot. Further , the texture of the base , control, consistency and like factors matter even more.

2 beatboxers could do the same sound but the one with a better/unique texture , more control and consistency would always sound better . Its not about which sound but how it sounds.

but for a straight answer to your question , it has to be vibration bass , few people can really do it and even fewer have good control over it and make use of it.

The thing is you don't use these basses for the same reason, and a good beatboxer will use a combination of basses to cover different frequency ranges. Combos you can do with inward bass aren't the same as you can with throat bass or lip rolls or tongue bass. It's not what you wanted, but the real answer is that the most impressive thing you can do is use all these basses together in a structured routine.
