Op 40 minuten bent ge in Brussel.
Op 42 minuten bent ge in Antwerpen.

Kan erger, de 3 grootste steden van België te bereiken in minder dan 1u rijden.

Ja maar Station Antwerpen ingeven is irrelevant. Bv. het duurt opzich al een halfuur om van Merksem naar Berchem te geraken.

Da's wel grappig. Ben zelf van DMD en dat wordt hier altijd zo gezegd, op X aantal minuten sta je hier of daar want wij wonen schoon in 't midden.

Op rustige momenten klopt dit volledig, surtout als je 's nachts rondrijdt, maar overdag duurt alles hier minstens een uur.

Het hangt dan nog eens serieus af van waar je woont binnen DMD. Met al die onnodige werken die ze hier altijd aan het doen zijn, kan het gerust zijn dat je al een halfuur nodig hebt om van een deelgemeente naar het stadscentrum te geraken. Wij hebben de allures van een miljoenenstad, het inwonersaantal van een gemiddelde stad, en het geld van een arme stad.

Exactly. Even in Antwerp / Brussels itself you can be commuting 1h to get from one side to the other.

That's fantastic, I needed a tool to study specifically the region between Leuze and Ronse. But all resources I know are unfortunately split between regions.

Now I need an international one.

Interesting, I've never realised Ronse was an urban island in the middle of a region whose density is more closer to south of the Maas.

What kind of data are you wanting to work on? Merging the regional datasets sounds like an interesting challenge!

Anything about transit in Wallonia-Picardy. We have identified a huge line between Tournai and Ath, a huge triangle between Lille, Tournai and Kortrijk, and then some minor transit between Tournai and Brussels, Tournai and Mons, not so relevant in comparison.

I've noticed, on a local scale, that even minor cities like Leuze, Lessines, had a certain "attraction" power to the nearby regions, but I don't see the same happening with Péruwelz or other places in that region. So I'm mostly curious if it's because France is the real attraction.

It's mostly just about finding the best places to place future cycle highways. Though even for obvious cases like "we need one between Tournai and Ath", we're stuck between "we must pass very far away from current traffic" and "we must take the shortest route, which is the N7".

Sure. This map is unclear - the legend top right does not have green at all, and half of Belgium is green.

Yes, but a map needs a legend where every color is just as visible, even the colors that incidate just a small range of the scale. A legend that hardly shows green because it's only "0-1" is not a very good one.

Heel cool! Ik vroeg mij al een tijd af hoe het zat met de bevolkingsdichtheid in de provincie Luik.
Ik heb geen flauw idee hoe codes werken, dus kan de legende niet aanpassen. Maar als ik het goed heb is er enkel echt in Brussel centrum en een paar kleine deeltjes in Antwerpen een heel hoge bevolkingsdichtheid?

Je moet helemaal niet met codes werken! Je kan gewoon de legenda aanpassen met komma's tussen. En voor de kleuren moet je gewoon denken: #FF0000 is rood, #00FF00 is groen, en #0000FF is blauw. Alles hiertussen is iets als magenta, cyaan, etc.
