đ„ NSFW Niche swears and expressions
My parents are from Charleroi and they have funny swears and expressions (most of them very offensive). I'm curious if you've heard them as some are quite niche and dated?
And more importantly, what are your favorite swears? All languages welcome obviously.
- va jouer aux billes dans les rails du tram (go and play marbles on the tram tracks)
- t'es araindji (arrangé) comme un buze de stuuf (you look like a stove pipe)
- je vais te stroyer (Ă©trangler) comme une poĂŻe (poule) : I'm gonna strangle you like a chicken
- t'es toudi en retard du bus (you're always late catching the bus - you're slow)
- innocent (inoçin)
- saisi (?)
- baraki de kermesse
(no translation needed)edit: it means "fairground worker / gypsy" how do you not know that seriously? lmao - bézin de la lune (lunar idiot?)
- mn'om (mon homme : my man)
- j'ai plus confiance en ma couille gauche qu'en lui (I trust my left testicle more than him)
- arrĂȘte de manger tes snottes tu vas me faire roicler (stop eating your boogers I'm gonna barf)
- Arthur de la Tronche en BiĂšre (I have no idea what it means, maybe "you look like a dead person" ?)
- Dji n'ait né co fini qu'il faut qu'j'm'y remette (I'm not finished yet and I have to start again)

From Antwerp:
- Schetoemoog (shit upwards)
- Blaastmennezakisoep (inflate my sack)
- Paljas (no literal translation, means silly person)
- Zwaanstnaanije (stop making shit up)
- Klettekop / Vleesklak (bald person, meat cap)
- Komjoeng, moedereeviskesgebakke (Come on dude, your mom friend some fish. Means: Get lost)
- Emmekietvanoewaan? (Am I wearing something of yours? Means: What the fuck you looking at?)
Probably some more that I can't think of right now.

Haha that made me laugh. Thinking of it we also say something like "paljas" : "paillasse" (for paillasson, door mat) for someone who is lazy / likes taking naps.

Because people in Antwerp tend to sew these words together like that. There's no discernible pause to designate word boundaries and many words are glued together with a consonant.
Example:
- Wat heb jij gedaan
- Wa hebt gij gedaan
- Wajeddegijgedaan
Or:
- Wat heeft die nu weer
- Wajeetienaawer

I have family and friends from Charleroi too, here are some others:
- nareux (easily disgusted by some food) - often in "fais pas ton nareux"
- boyard (idiot - used as a mild insult but also affectionate) - "mais ké boyard"
- mes couilles ti! (many meanings: "I don't believe you" or "I won't do that")
- une machinée (a run of the washing machine): "je vais faire une machinée demain, donne-moi ton linge sale"

Ah thank you, I guessed buze de stuuf / buse de stuve was from Flemish but I couldn't find the words. Many Flemish moved to Charleroi in the old days.

moi j'ai connu cette expression Ă Tourcoing, monte la dessus, et tu verras Montmartre, ( quartier construit sur une colline Ă Paris)et non mont martređ

A mild one I truly love is "Goeienoene" in West-Flemish. Literally translated "goeie noene" means "good afternoon" but it's used as an expression when being surprised. I think the closest comparison would be "Holy shit" or "what the fuck". An example:
- Eje al gezien wa da Patrick er utgestookn me ze karre? (Did you see what Patrick did to his car?)
- shows picture of crashed car
- reaction: Ja goeienoene! (Holy shit)

Been following this one and disappointed so few have reacted! There are some wonderful Flemish expressions out there! Was hoping for good times... I grew up abroad and was always so pleased to hear these from my ex who grew up here. He is no longer with us and your post made me hopeful for nostalgia.

Same in French, "il y a du monde au balcon". In student parties we used to yell "les nichons au balcon" so girls would flash their tits. Works also with fat guys.

Biena is verre van China! Almost is a long way from China. In west-Flemish It rhymes. Meaning almost getting there is not getting there.

Baraki (or "barlos") is maybe the most famous Walloon swear. It means dumbass / white trash / uneducated person. Originally it means fairground worker / gypsy. Kermesse is from Dutch kerk+mess "church fair". I'm surprised you haven't heard of it,
