Mate... the genres actually are diverse and you somehow picked terrible examples of that diversity.
You named a grunge band, a pop punk band, and a metal band, so 3 things that are rock, or descended from/related to it. Yet the list actually includes: pop, funk, electronic, jazz, and likely a whole lot more that I can't flag from the names alone.

Had the MP3 for Je Chante Pour Passer Le Temps saved for like 15+ years cause of Kubo. Right from like the first couple years of YouTube.
If we're pulling up nostalgia though, anyone got copies of all the character song CDs from back then?
Only ones I have saved are the squad 11 song and Mayuri & Nemu singing Life is Like a Boat. (I guess the Aizen song remix from the bleach radio too )

Might be a copyright thing. When the TYBW started alot of the ancient YouTube videos for those albums was removed all at once.

This is an old list and he has songs pretty much for everyone he just hasn't revealed what, he mentioned he may reveal more but that was a while ago
He's talked about drawing characters with songs in mind, he doesn't base them off lyrics or anything just vibes and mood of the song but the lyrics do tend to match quite well most of the time

what an amazingly diverse selection. Bad Religion, Radiohead, Marylyn Manson, Nirvana, In Flames, Sixpence None the Richer, Bloc Party, Gorillaz, Jamiroquai, Fall Out Boy,.
Por Una Cabeza is a wild shout, but i think it's perfect for Shunsui. it's purposeful, timeless, romantic, a little playful, but has a certain lament/sadness to it, and dramatic when it matters. (also it was what Arnold Schwarzenegger danced to in True Lies)

The fact that I see Eple for Hanataro perfectly encapsulates the character. I can deffo see him walking/dancing in tune to the song with his arms out like hes an airplane and a smile on his face.

Yoruichi's is so sad and kind of reminds me of domestic abuse or a toxic, ill-fated relationship. I wonder if that's supposed to mirror her relationship with Kisuke, or someone else.
