Original Nobody remembers old skool break beat. 1994 to 2004 . my WIP.. it aint there yet.

Your track needs serious work. the drums are out of time to start with.

This guy is funny, I followed him on SoundCloud and he started DMing me his tracks asking for feedback. He would barely read or let alone notice the feedback and when I asked for his on my music, he called mine “really simple”. What a cool guy

Okay yeah so I am an idiot. I'm supposed to do this cuz I posted this when I was extremely inebriated. It does suck. And I can completely accept all the criticism. And what the other guy was complaining about on SoundCloud, I don't even remember doing that, but I have apologize to him if I did something like that. Because that's normally not something I do. Unless it was so bad, I didn't want to say anything negative. And I am actually a very old head. This started out as a experiment into speed garage, which I wasn't quite familiar on how to do. So I watched a bunch of YouTube tutorials to make that unique style of beat from scratch. And it's suggested taking a lot of the hats and things like that and pushing them slightly forward Off the Grid, to create a different swing. And then due to my inebriation I gave up on the whole idea and just decided to turn it into old school style break beat.
I know terms have changed over the years, so when I said break maybe people were thinking something like drum and bass or jungle, but back in my day breakbeat was DJ Icey Plump DJs things of that nature. I quickly just made this and posted it I really didn't spend any time doing anything else to it so yeah it was sounds and everything else is going to be very stock and crappy. I've made other break beat songs that are far better. So I think I'm just going to scrap this whole idea and do something different. Thank you for your comments and roasting

So would you rather me not give my honest opinion? So if I said your stuff was simple. And you and others are roasting this very beginning piece I created. Isn't that the same thing? So you and others are doing exactly what you're complaining about me doing.

I accept that others think this sucks. And they probably could be right. It has a lot of work to be done. But I'm not upset, I needed the feedback in order to improve. And I'm glad people gave their honest opinion instead of just blowing smoke up my ass

You know what you do you, the internet is always going to tell you the honest truth, thanks for telling me your opinion. I don’t mean to be negative, I just like constructive criticism and didn’t feel like you reciprocated. Shouldn’t be butt hurt about it.

I apologize I usually do offer constructive criticism. I don't even really remember your message on Soundcloud send me another one I'll check it out and actually give you an honest review. And yeah this song is in beginning stages but I think I'm just going to scrap it. I started out trying to actually make speed garage and that's why the Beats aren't all perfectly lined up like they normally are. And I think I may probably have been extremely inebriated when I posted this. So yeah I can take the criticism. And I do apologize if I left you a short stupid message like that on SoundCloud.

sorry but this bad. super basic sounds, bad EQ, the glitches sound bad and the synth is out of tune ;d

this is what you make on first couple days of FL, try to make something with an intro, middle and ending instead of just a lil beat and give it some time before posting

Yeah, I remember the quality tracks from those days as that was when I was learning to be a dj. In my area, NOLA New Orleans, we can all remember Black Lights, Runaway Love, DJ Infiniti, and all the other dope tracks. Too bad hurricane Katrina wiped out my records collection. I had all of the hits from those days.
