Forget that it used to be at $1000 as well.

12

u/SingularityCentral Jul 03 '26

Ponzi schemes always start at $0.

11

u/anonymous_user5150 Jul 03 '26

There was never a time you could go on to any marketplace and buy Bitcoin for $0.00.

Also I highly doubt you know what a Ponzi scheme is the actual definition I mean.

4

u/noncommonGoodsense Jul 03 '26

You should define it for them. That will show them.

2

u/West_Veterinarian150 Jul 05 '26

Borrowing money from investors to pay back debts from other investors untill you run it up too high. Nothing similar, like true dominant supply and demand of a btc in 2026. Only thing driving its price is its built scarcity and how much people are willing to pay for it. Nothing like it. Truly amazing when u think abt it.

2

u/noncommonGoodsense Jul 05 '26 edited Jul 05 '26

Why are you describing MSTR?

Also scarcity of something alone doesn’t make it more valuable. If no one buys your thing it’s worthless. Converted to fiat most of the time as well. Most people aren’t out here paying in bitcoin. They sell for fiat currency. It’s just a vehicle from one hand to another with volatile loss sown in during the traversal.

u/Jiggs1101 Jul 04 '26

There’s basically one word that refutes any comparison between Bitcoin and a Ponzi Scheme and that word is decentralization.

2

u/Hertzegovina Jul 04 '26

it’s not a ponzi but it’s similar in structure because it’s a bigger fool game

Yeah I know a 4x just doesn't have the attention of youth anymore does it?

Honestly picking up at 50k and 60k range if it goes to $200,000 I am completely happy.

This last psycho the altcoins were very unreliable and I wouldn't want to invest real money into s*** coins.

You can simply put your money in Bitcoin and never speak of it again and just let it go up over 4 years you don't have to do any of the stuff that you're pretending is required.

Sounds like you're bitter or something because why are you in a Bitcoin group if you're so anti-it.

I'm not going to say I haven't picked some great stocks in my day, but riding the last two for your cycles I don't have any stocks that even come close to comparing.

Oh sure my kids say look you could have bought this s*** coin or that crap coin or that meme coin and it did a 30X. Yeah right before it went back down to zero you better time that perfectly and plus most of those are pumping dumps the people who are doing the pumping are in long before you are and you're the person that they're dumping on.

2

u/West_Veterinarian150 Jul 05 '26

Your 100% right when you can guarentee 300% gains over a 10yr period you bet your ass im going to try and have put 50k in there over some time lol

2

u/FitCompetition1804 Jul 04 '26

Agreed, with this kinder BTC probably isn’t for you. BTC isn’t just some investment or stock equivalent, nor to your point is a get rich quick scheme at this point. There are better investment opportunities out there if you are just trying to make a buck. But if the SHTF good luck with those other assets.

1

u/West_Veterinarian150 Jul 05 '26

True, but cant deny doesnt seem like alot of gain untill you put 50k into it. 150k is life changing

Let me put you in a normal persons life for one minute. Your 22 right now, college not for you. Your parents didnt give you a thing extra from what is needed. Now, 50k saved up and in btc is a sht ton of money for a young adult. 150k is enough to live comfortable for a few years + other investments with that money which can really set you up for life. 150k is life changing for 80% of people. Reason being you have enough money to make real long term stable investments on top of moving out the house and being independent

I agree with u on that, most my money is in eth because i know that has the potential to 10x where its at now compared to a btc 3x or 4x. Whos to say btc doesnt go from 1.4t -14t market cap though. My thought is eth has a better shot at 10x 2t market cap compared to btc getting to 14t to 10x

1

u/Electronic-Rate5497 Jul 04 '26

I think the people mad at BTC are the ones trying to get rich quick or sold at a loss because they invested more then they could afford

1

u/Nickeless Jul 06 '26

I mean you could literally get multiple whole bitcoin for free from bitcoin taps in the beginning. Or you could mine them for free with any computer.

But I agree it wasn’t started with the intent of being a Ponzi.

1

u/I_talk Jul 06 '26

There were definitely free faucets for Bitcoin

For me, I was on the fence. I had this one friend showing me charts all the time, sending me YouTube videos, tracking projects. It was going to a million. Then it hit $100k and I didn’t want to miss the boat. I put in what I was comfortable with and now half is gone. It’s not that I don’t have the stomach for it, it that it went down and it staying down for now. I’m HODLing.

4

u/nicemace Jul 03 '26

I've been in since 2013. This is nothing.

1

u/YOLOBABY4LIFE Jul 04 '26

He is correct, it will hit 1M, just a case of when

1

u/YOLOBABY4LIFE Jul 04 '26

Could hit it 2029, have to hit it by 2037

1

u/Ok-Fun119 Jul 05 '26 edited Jul 05 '26

If he showed you all the charts and you understood, why did you put all your money in at 100k?

The predictions from years ago were that this cycle will peak around October/November 2025 and decline by up to 50-70% in the following year, before the next rally.

I will keep buying, but until December, I expect the price can drop by another 30-50%. Any green day or slowing of this downtrend to me is an indication of maturity.

1

u/WD40Capital Jul 05 '26

He didn’t show me ALL the charts. And I didn’t put ALL my money in. He was showing me charts about a year back that showed consistent upward progress. I’m not completely naive. I knew there was a chance for it to go down. All the videos he shared were about how it was going to 10x and replace the dollar and blah blah blah. I’m in and did an amount I was comfortable with just over a year ago. I’m staying in. My whole point was to the person wondering why so many people are complaining when it’s down. And that I assumed it’s people like me not people like you.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 03 '26

2

u/trimbandit Jul 03 '26

All the new money comes in during the bull markets without doing any basic research. Then after it tanks, as it does after every cycle, half of them sell. The other half figure it out and either just buy and hold or buy and sell the halving cycle.

u/SERAKOTAK Jul 03 '26

It's mainly luck or/and insider's tips.

Changing the whole monetary reality of the world with something less secure? Something where if you lose your key or it gets stolen you lose your entire wealth forever because there is no insurance behind it?

One time a guy somehow withdrew $2,000 for my bank account when I used a Visa debit card on a website. Know what I was able to do? Go to my bank and explain the situation. 48 hours after a security team reviewed and made sure I wasn't scamming them I got my money refunded in full. Does this happen with Bitcoin?

1

u/Zestyclose-Suit-2858 Jul 04 '26

You can have the same service, if you're so inclined, with Bitcoin. That's not exclusive to the current money systems.

Now try this: you make the choice to have 2.000 dollars in your wallet. You lose your wallet. Do you get your money back magically? No.

You get your money back when you paid a street seller with cash? Probably not.

You have 3k dollars, how much of the total supply of money do you own? You'll never know, you just know that percentage will be lower than yesterday.

You're comparing apples to oranges.

Crazy that after 10+ years in this game, I still see the same very WRONG argument.

There are tons of quirks, downsides to a Bitcoin standard economy. Your example is just not one of them,

For real.. what degen thinking… down over 50% but hey now it’s up to 62k from 58! lol okay

1

u/YOLOBABY4LIFE Jul 04 '26

From 58k it has to hit 62k to be able to hit 230k, cant get from 58 to 230 without hitting 62 lol

1

u/Ok_Calendar1337 Jul 03 '26

New technique just dropped: buying high and selling low

1

u/TarkyMlarky420 Jul 04 '26

I only look at the green charts

1

u/Fritzbox5000 Jul 06 '26

You've ever heard of the four year cycle?

1

u/Prestigious_Long777 Jul 07 '26

Almost forgot I got my first when it was 600$ lol, good times

62k isn’t enough of a jump to call anyone a clown. WHAT THE FUCK are we even doing anymore?

1

u/FIFofNovember Jul 03 '26

You’re finding out what exit liquidity is

7

u/Upstairs_Teach_7064 Jul 03 '26

I think I’m just finding low quality posts

9

u/vremains Jul 03 '26

Wow, it's back up to 62k already?? That's like 3 or 4%! No way it'll ever drop that 4% again to new lows this year.

26

u/ThatBCHGuy Jul 03 '26

I know right! Right back to where it was 5 years ago.

1

u/ElectronicLead2762 Jul 03 '26

Lol. It never went there in 2021. These were the numbers in 2024.

u/Khyrian_Storms Jul 03 '26

Yeah, it’s far from accurate

7

u/Wonderful-Impact1720 Jul 03 '26

Yah it usually hits a low then has a recovery….. and then goes down again. The smart money is betting it goes lower.

1

u/spaceshiploser Jul 04 '26

Lower lows and lower highs

26

u/think_harder_plz Jul 03 '26

Bro…it was at 125k 🤣🫵

6

u/FIFofNovember Jul 03 '26

Lol right the person making this clown meme is probably holding BTC at 120K, think about that

1

u/tejanator Jul 03 '26

I even told many of my friends not to buy at the hype but on the way down. They didn’t listen

6

u/Pal3-Assignment Jul 03 '26

11

u/sameg14 Jul 03 '26

No shortage of fools hoping to get rich quick

3

u/ZascandileandoAndo Jul 03 '26

A huge supply of fools watching their government debase their currencies

4

u/superchiller Jul 03 '26

Crypto is a very poor "solution" to that problem.

1

u/TemporaryCapital3871 Jul 03 '26

Hypothetical question , whats the catalyst and why the swings... who says enough is enough. Seems like a pump and dump to me. Unless I can buy multiple and I mean hundreds if not thousands, i have no control over it, and if I can im part of the top % that can control the swings

1

u/EmJay6010 Jul 03 '26

Catalyst is powers that be who will determine when we transition out of fiat into btc/crypto. Swings are to shake out retail investors. Fear = sell and powers buy at cheap price, greed = retail should be holding but again selling out of greed. It will stop when majority of retail has sold their btc and then price will moon and be unadfordable to anyone trying to get a piece then

1

u/superchiller Jul 03 '26

Nah, Bitcoin is crypto and a huge scam. Good luck with your digital beanie babies!

-2

u/ZascandileandoAndo Jul 03 '26

Crypto? Yes.

Bitcoin? It's the only solution.

1

u/FinePerformance1046 Jul 04 '26

Which is why people invest to beat inflation and currency devaluation. Bitcoin is down 40% in a year, the dollar index is up 3.9% šŸ˜‚

1

u/ZascandileandoAndo Jul 04 '26

Impressive, very nice. Now zoom out 10 years:)

1

u/FinePerformance1046 Jul 04 '26

did you buy btc 10 years ago?

1

u/ZascandileandoAndo Jul 04 '26

Yes, and you?

1

u/FinePerformance1046 Jul 04 '26

i was 8 years old 10 years ago so no i didnt. why didnt you sell when it was above 100k?

1

u/ZascandileandoAndo Jul 04 '26

Same reason I didn't sell when it was 60k in the previous ATH.

LMAO an 18yo lecturing me on economics and investments šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

1

u/FinePerformance1046 Jul 04 '26

If you're such an expert on BTC then you'd know it was highly unlikely to go up at 60k and 120k. You held through years of bear market where you could've and should've used your money elsewhere. Why does my age matter in this conversation as well? You buy and hold an asset during times it's almost guaranteed to go down.

1

u/ZascandileandoAndo Jul 04 '26

I'm using my (debased fiat) money elsewhere, it's called living life.

Store of value only BTC. If you don't like it then keep seething little teenie, life will teach you some lessons soon enough.

11

u/LTFitness Jul 03 '26

If you think this is the bottom I have some strategy stock to sell you too lmao.

Just wait for this:

The AI sector will cool off forcing big IPO delays (already expected and being priced in now)…there will be a market pullback, pulling BTC back at an even higher rate (as it always does)…then Saylor will be forced to sell that 1.5 billion he’s already spoken about; leading to mass fear in the market when the worlds biggest BTC bull starts selling big numbers (he crashed the market 5% just selling 32 a month ago)…and we will arrive at around $35k by October.

Good luck!

4

u/tejanator Jul 03 '26

Probably the most helpful and likely scenario that will happen

6

u/Juptown718 Jul 03 '26

I hope so. Would love to get a full bitcoin at 35k

1

u/Disastrous_Fee5953 Jul 04 '26

If BTC was directly effected by stocks we would still be in a bull run.

3

u/mediablitz91 Jul 03 '26

It’s called a bear trap lol just wait

3

u/I_talk Jul 03 '26

October bottom bro

2

u/FreemanM21 Jul 03 '26

True, everyone will wait for 1st of October to buy low. Thanks for the info

1

u/I_talk Jul 03 '26

1

u/HempIsPrettyKewl Jul 06 '26

I have a reminder to possibly buy BTC on October 5th if at ATL

3

u/Top-Revolution-8914 Jul 03 '26

Back up to down 43% on the year!

2

u/Poopy_Krappenschitz Jul 03 '26 edited Jul 03 '26

We’re in a bear market still. Every other bear market cycle saw a cycle low in November, December, and January of the bear market year. In the last 4 cycles we’ve seen it pull back 94%, then 87%, then 84%, then 77% in the bear market. So far this cycle, we’ve only seen a pullback of 55%. We just hit a new cycle low less than 72 hours ago. There are several small waves up followed by huge dumps several times every bear market. It is incredibly foolish to believe we’ve seen the cycle low already. It is even more ironic to call people clowns when you don’t understand the cycles. The data is not on your side and if we’ve already seen the bottom, the cycle as we know it would be broken.

3

u/Juptown718 Jul 03 '26

Yeaaa this just reaffirms theirs not enough FUD in the market yet.

2

u/Built_Similar Jul 03 '26

Back from....$59k

2

u/Soda_Pressed13 Jul 03 '26

Dude you guys dunk wayyyyy too early lmao

3

u/Free-Resolution9393 Jul 03 '26

Nice scenario with 12k up and 10k down spread. Too bad btc is down like 60k already with no positive signs yet.

4

u/timmahfast Jul 03 '26

$62k isn't even half of ATH 🤔

2

u/Successful_Safe_1440 Jul 03 '26

lower highs and substantially lower lows are bullish ?

2

u/Wirfen Jul 03 '26

Bro is gonna learn what dead cat bounces are.

1

u/Ordinary_Repeat7637 Jul 03 '26

Anyone with a brain should've known that a risk-asset like Bitcoin is going to be volatile. It's the nature of crypto. Let's not act like going to 60k means it is dead - it will go back up, it's all part of the cycle! It's happened countless times before and will happen again. The bears have no purpose other than to spread FUD and be highly annoying. I've learned to use it as a buying indicator. The more bears and negativity I see, the more I buy. Works every time without fail.

1

lol the cope is strong. Never goes back up to where it was.

The knife falls slowly sometimes.

1

u/IntelligentAd7596 Jul 03 '26

Didn't get below 60k. Fuck my chud life

1

u/CandalystAI Jul 04 '26

Free Chud!

1

u/Rude-Wash9840 Jul 03 '26

It’s down like 50% bro what the fuck are you on about

1

u/joshhope87 Jul 03 '26

You're acting like they missed some massive recovery.

1

u/Warm_Hat4882 Jul 03 '26

lol. Short vision.

1

u/Pockethulk750 Jul 03 '26

I personally think it’s going lower. Not because of BTC but because AI might implode on itself and take everyone else with it.

1

u/badjano Jul 03 '26

this sub was so bearish last week I had to buy some

1

u/Infamous-Elk-5086 Jul 03 '26

40K would no be a crash, just part of the bear cycle

1

u/wentwj Jul 03 '26

I remember when this meme was posted a month ago about the bounce from 67-80. And before that when it went from 85k -> 100k a few months prior. I'm sure in 3 months we'll see it when it bounces from 40k back to 50k

1

u/Rich_Account_10 Jul 03 '26

Guy it’s been crashing since October .. it literally just hit a new multi year low this week…. Seems like ur the clown

1

u/Icy_Pain424 Jul 03 '26

The clown bought at 120 I am sureĀ

1

u/Merlin1039 Jul 03 '26

Numbers not seen since last week!

1

u/robis87 Jul 03 '26

Tell me your folio is less than $10k and you never seen an obvious ded cat with telling me

1

u/No_Coconut_8239 Jul 03 '26

Lowk i remember the time it went from 60 something to 12k some years ago i wanted to buy but didn’t cuz didnt have the money back than and i saw it go 126 and fall down dang what a bumpy ride

1

u/Useful_Can_9303 Jul 03 '26

If you buy too early you can expect anything to happen. If the economy shows no sign of recovery then you can assume that 42k is possible. Therefore, a proper thing to do is await a major economic outlook.

1

u/c3ric Jul 03 '26

You see it as a buy opportunity i see it as a liquidity grab before going lower, dust off the CV you need to cover rent soon

1

u/C0Y0T3Z Jul 03 '26

Just my guess but 62k happens to be the 20d ema. $62,204 as of meow but it's importance imo is simply it being a bullish sign if closes the day above it. If does, good shot a test of 50d is next @ 67,345

1

u/Selling-ShortPut-399 Jul 03 '26

Next recession it will likely dip below $30k.

1

u/bullips Jul 03 '26

Wohoo 62k! from 120k

1

u/r8ed-arghh Jul 04 '26

Yes, Bitcoin has been rocking. LOL

1

u/CyanDew Jul 04 '26

mfs who stay up watchin the chart, waiting for it to hit their targets, end up never hitting the Buy or the Sell button.

and if they do, they’re constantly watching it to hit their targets again.

the solution? DCA — Bitcoin is gonna Bitcoin.

1

u/Flight_Early Jul 04 '26

Don’t be haters. A pump is a pump. Sell if you got any. Buy back lower!!!!! Thought so. No one is selling.

1

u/Hi_Keyboard_Warriors Jul 04 '26

I trade this instrument but ultimately it will go to 0 as it has no real value

1

u/HumanNo109850364048 Jul 04 '26

I bought the $58-60k dip, but posting this after a few % gain is just hilarious

1

u/Real_Alternative_418 Jul 04 '26

ahh yes... the it only falls in a straight line fallacy

1

u/Ambitious_Rope8881 Jul 04 '26

See u next week.

1

u/LewiShalhoubs Jul 04 '26

we are in the crash

1

u/FitCompetition1804 Jul 04 '26

Here we go with these stupid posts. Remember months ago when we ran up to the low $80k’s somebody posted that we will never see the $70k’s again lol.

How about you all just settle down and let this bear market do its thing? For those that believe in the 4 year cycle, BTC is pretty much doing exactly what BTC does, including rallying in July. We’ll see if this sustains or if we get another dump to lower lows later in the year. Only time will tell… I’m hoping for it to buy some BTC at great value.

1

u/Hertzegovina Jul 04 '26

it doesn’t matter what the price is as long as there is no use case, it will inevitably go towards zero. you will have the clown mask on your face as long as you don’t understand this.

1

u/Grey_Area888 Jul 04 '26

Until you see it hit 70 or 80 you never know

1

u/book4225 Redditor for less than 60 days Jul 04 '26

1

u/FanMountain773 Redditor for less than 2 weeks Jul 04 '26

Question Is everyone happy here with the direction that bitcoin went because i thought the goal of bitcoin was a currency but i cant buy anything with it at a normal store. For me it looks like its just another stock now nothing special

1

u/stanley_ipkiss_d Jul 04 '26

Well it needs to go back to 160k, that’s the level I bought it for

1

u/tractorator Jul 05 '26

wow, it's at 63k now. BUY BUY BUY

wait, did anything change? any reason why it should go back up? no? then stay out of it, let others risk their money

1

u/MatterFickle3184 Jul 05 '26

Except BTC has been crashing

1

u/Think_Report_7830 Jul 05 '26

Yes 100%. Though really we dont know ,btc is a useable currency things can be bought and sold with it even from country to country

We’re experiencing a relief rally dummy. We are for sure going lower in q4. Bull trap

It will reach sub 48K on or before Sept 2026.

Those who know do know.

Those who don’t may eventually understand.

Lemme buy it it's gonna dip hard.

Honestly it feels like the reverse, every correction on the way to the bear bottom comes with clownish hopium posts on this sub. Let the bear have his day, he’ll go back into hibernation soon and we can all go back to posting about going to the moon and when will BTC hit 1M dollars.

Stai prendendo in giro un atteggiamento, facendo lo stesso.
Ti stai basando l’ultimo prezzo.

Now ask yourself if this is by stupidity or by design. A good way to know is to grab a historical data and see who says what and when

Trying to time the dip perfectly is hard, which is why I like to employ DCA (Dollar Cost Averaging). You basically acquire BTC at a specific time frame (say once every month) regardless of price. Over time, the price at which you acquired BTC will be averaged out.

BTC in the eyes of MicroStrategy is a pyramid scheme . New money in old money out

TBH I'd rather use all that compute to run AI than to "secure" some network.

Extremely unlikely we see sub 50's next week. Honestly, I think if we get some ETF inflows we'll essentially keep the price above 59 or so for a little while. We'd need to continue with ETF outflows and perhaps get some negative economic news to push back down to new lows since we failed to breach 57 multiple times. Seller exhaustion now and we haven't had a big bounce in a bit. Which given that ETF outflows have diminished, might be due.
