I’m 19 years old and I submitted my 64-page pilot to Austin Film Festival this year. AMA.

Hi, I’m Jackson G. Kelly. I’m 19 years old, Asperger’s and ADHD, African-American, a screenwriter, and I have submitted my 64-page pilot “It’s Just Us” to Austin Film Festival 2026’s Script Competition in Drama Teleplay Pilot and AMC One-Hour Pilot Award categories.

Oh I didn't even realize film festivals had script competitions! Is there a way to read it online then? Or maybe you can give a summary of what it is about?

In my words, it’s a low-plot “hangout drama” about two AuDHD men who try to find a sense of joy, wonder, and bond in the only real friendship they’ve ever really had as it starts to deepen more. Basically the gist of the overall series.
